Edmundo B. Cea
Edmundo Bombase Cea (June 10, 1911 – December 30, 1993) was a Filipino politician. Senator Cea was born in Tigaon on June 10, 1911 to Angela Bombase and Congressman Severo Fuentebella Cea. He was educated at Sto. Tomas University obtaining the degrees of Bachelor of Philosophy and Letters and Bachelor of Laws. He was a bar topnotcher in the bar examination of 1935. In college, he was Grand Alpha of the Alpha Tau Fraternity and also President of the University Student council. He was a World War II hero and considered as most outstanding fiscal of the country by obtaining 100 percent conviction in all cases prosecuted by him. He was the founder of the Bank Secrecy Law, the founder of Bicol Radio by founding the first radio station in Bicolandia. He was the founding President Of Bicolandia's only sugar milling company Bisuseco. Senator Of The Philippines
The Senate of the Philippines (Filipino: ''Senado ng Pilipinas'', also ''Mataas na Kapulungan ng Pilipinas'' or "upper chamber") is the upper house of Congress of the bicameral legislature of the Philippines with the House of Representatives as the lower house. The Senate is composed of 24 senators who are elected at-large (the country forms one district in its elections) under plurality-at-large voting. Senators serve six-year terms with a maximum of two consecutive terms, with half of the senators elected in staggered elections every three years. When the Senate was restored by the 1987 Constitution, the 24 senators who were elected in 1987 served until 1992. Batasang Pambansa
The Batasang Pambansa Complex, or simply the Batasan (), is the seat of the House of Representatives of the Philippines. It is located along the Batasan Road in Batasan Hills, Quezon City. The complex was initially the home of the Batasang Pambansa, the former legislature of the Philippines which was established as Interim Batasang Pambansa, an interim assembly in 1978 and finally as Regular Batasang Pambansa, an official body in 1984. Under the 1973 Constitution of the Philippines, Constitution, it replaced the bicameral Congress of the Philippines established under the 1935 Commonwealth Constitution. When the bicameral Congress was restored in 1987, the complex was set aside as the home of the House of Representatives.
