Editpress is a publishing company in Luxembourg. It publishes several newspapers, including its flagship daily ''Tageblatt'', and 50% shares in the free daily newspaper, free daily ''L'essentiel'' and the French language, French-language daily ''Le Quotidien (Luxembourg), Le Quotidien''. Editpress is based in the Red Lands city of Esch-sur-Alzette. It has close ties to the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party and trade unions. Editpress's main rival is Mediahuis Luxembourg, which is allied to the Christian Social People's Party and owns Luxembourg's main paid-for newspaper, the ''Luxemburger Wort''. Revue
A revue is a type of multi-act popular theatrical entertainment that combines music, dance, and sketches. The revue has its roots in 19th century popular entertainment and melodrama but grew into a substantial cultural presence of its own during its golden years from 1916 to 1932. Though most famous for their visual spectacle, revues frequently satirized contemporary figures, news or literature. Similar to the related subforms of operetta and musical theatre, the revue art form brings together music, dance and sketches to create a compelling show. In contrast to these, however, revue does not have an overarching storyline. Red Lands
The Red Lands form a geographic region in southern and south-western Luxembourg. They are so called for their red iron-laden earth. The Red Lands roughly correspond with the southern part of the canton of Esch-sur-Alzette, along the border with France. Geologically, the Red Lands are sedimentary, mostly sandstones and conglomerates, formed in the Middle Jurassic epoch. As one of the most prodigious iron-producing regions in Western Europe, the Red Lands developed a thriving local steel industry, which has now developed into ArcelorMittal, the world's largest producer of steel. The Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party ( lb, Lëtzebuerger Sozialistesch Aarbechterpartei, french: Parti ouvrier socialiste luxembourgeois, german: Luxemburger Sozialistische Arbeiterpartei), abbreviated to LSAP or POSL, is a social-democratic, pro-European political party in Luxembourg.
