Editions Musica Ferrum is a music publishing company. Focussing on contemporary music, it has published over 80 scores, ranging from concert hall music for full orchestra to educational music for piano solo. Several award winning composers have their music published by EMF. A possibly unique characteristic feature is the fact that the founder and director of this publishing house, Nikolas Sideris, is himself an award-winning composer "Artiste en Herbs, 2013, Luxembourg", where his "Piano Stories" won the first prize. His illustrated ''Fairyland in Treble'', is among the best-selling of the publications. This publishing house describes itself as trying to make contemporary music accessible. Nikolas Sideris
Nikolas Sideris (born 1977 in Athens, Greece), has been studying music since the age of 5, and holds a PhD in composition from Royal Holloway, University of London Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL), formally incorporated as Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, is a public research university and a constituent college of the federal University of London. It has six schools, 21 academic departm .... He received his Masters in Composition from the same university in 2005 with distinction and he also has a diploma in Piano with honors, and degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue. His studies in the UK were funded by the National Scholarship Foundation of Greece (IKY). Nikolas, as a pianist has performed in concerts all over Greece, the USA and Syria. Gina Bachauer
Gina Bachauer (Greek: Τζίνα Μπαχάουερ; May 21, 1910, AthensAugust 22, 1976, Athens), was a Greek classical pianist who toured extensively in the United States and Europe. Interested in piano at a young age, Bachauer graduated from the Athens Conservatory and studied under Alfred Cortot and Sergei Rachmaninoff. She is best known for playing Romantic piano concertos. She played hundreds of concerts for the Allied troops in the Middle East during World War II while she lived in Egypt. She spent a lot of time touring the United States and Europe, giving over 100 concerts each year. Bachauer also recorded extensively, both as a soloist and with orchestras. She received an honorary doctorate from the University of Utah. During her career she was called the "queen of pianists".
