Edith Crash
Edith Crash (born 5 October 1983 in Perpignan, France) is a French singer-songwriter, musician, producer and one woman band. Career Edith Crash spent her teenage years in Spain before moving to Los Angeles. In 2015, she recorded her album ''Partir'' with producer Alain Johannes. The same year, her song "Casser" remixed by the Chilean musician Sokio was used in the movie '' Knock, Knock'' directed by Eli Roth and starring Keanu Reeves . In February 2016 the prominent French magazine Rock & Folk gave four stars to her record 'Partir'. In 2016 Edith Crash performed at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. She was featured on NPR as one of the favorite discoveries of the festival. The article describes her style as bluesy, folky, dark and strange. In October 2019 Edith announces her new record "Frenzy" available from Light In The Attic Records. The Smell
The Smell is an all-ages, alcohol and drug-free, punk rock and experimental music venue in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The Smell, notable for its DIY ethic, is home to many of the area's avant-garde performers and artists. The venue is maintained by Jim Smith, one of the four original organizers of the club, and a number of volunteers. The Smell continues in the tradition of Los-Angeles-based underground clubs such as The Masque and Jabberjaw. Aside from its primary function as a live music and performance art space, The Smell hosts a library, a vegan snack bar and a gallery space. Lightning in a Bottle (LIB) is an annual music festival in the Central Valley region of California first held in 2006. It is presented by The Do LaB, which seeks to promote sustainability, social cohesion, and creative expression. The Do LaB has also created art installations for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. History Lightning in a Bottle took their name from a private birthday party in 2000. From 2000 to 2003, the birthday celebration recurred each July as a private event. In 2004, Lightning in a Bottle Music and Art Festival was born. South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. Primavera Sound Festival
Primavera Sound (commonly referred to as simply Primavera) is an annual music festival held in Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, Spain that takes place between the end of May and beginning of June. The first edition took place in 2001 in Poble Espanyol and moved to the Parc del Fòrum, a much larger site on the seafront, in 2005. The nature of the festival (urban and an integrated part of the city) and the wide range of bands represented have made Primavera Sound a meeting point for artists and spectators from all generations. Primavera Sound is one of the largest and most-attended music festivals in Europe and the biggest in the Mediterranean. The success of the festival led to an expansion to Porto in 2012.
