Edinburg Township is one of the eighteen townships of Portage County, Ohio, United States. The 2010 census found 2,586 people in the township. Geography Located in the southeastern part of the county, it borders the following townships: * Charlestown Township - north * Paris Township - northeast corner * Palmyra Township - east * Deerfield Township - southeast corner * Atwater Township - south * Randolph Township - southwest corner * Rootstown Township - west * Ravenna Township - northwest corner No municipalities are located in Edinburg Township. Dzintari
Dzintari (until 1922, Edinburgh, lv, Edinburga) is a residential area and neighbourhood of the city of Jūrmala in Latvia. History Historically, Dzintari was known as Edinburgh, in honor of the wedding of Alexander II of Russia, Alexander II's daughter and Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Alfred, the Duke of Edinburgh. In the 19th century, Dzintari became popular with Russian aristocrats. Dzintari is one of the most historical neighborhoods in Jūrmala. In 1879, a well-house was built, but it burnt down few years later. In 1878, an outdoor stage for concerts was built, later known as Edinburgh Well-house Concert Hall. In 1922, Edinburgh was renamed Dzintari. In 1936, an indoor concert hall was built. In 2001, the Dzintari neighborhood was added to the Cultural Heritage list. History The Bowman-Zirkle Farm, Campbell Farm, Clem-Kagey Farm, Edinburg Historic District, Edinburg Mill, Dr. Christian Hockman House, Lantz Mill, and John Miley Maphis House are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
