''Edge of Tomorrow'' is the fourth album by Sunstorm featuring singer Joe Lynn Turner. It was released on May 13, 2016 via Frontiers Records, four years after '' Emotional Fire'' in 2012. This is the first album with Italian multi-instrumentalist Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Jorn, Edge of Forever) on producing, songwriting and keyboards and Italian musicians Simone Mularoni ( DGM) on guitars, Nik Marzucchoni (Labyrinth) on bass guitar and the only one to feature Francesco Jovino (Voodoo Circle, Jorn) on drums. The album was preceded by the singles "The Sound of Goodbye" on March 16, "Edge of Tomorrow" on April 12, "Everything You've Got" on April 29 and "Don't Walk Away from a Goodbye" on May 5, 2016. Sunstorm (band)
Sunstorm is an American AOR musical project, originally featuring lead vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (formerly of Rainbow), bassist/vocalist Dennis Ward, keyboardist Jochen Weyer, as well as guitarist Uwe Reitenauer and drummer Chris Schmidt, both members of the band Pink Cream 69. The albums also featured artists such as Dann Huff and Jim Peterik as additional songwriters. The first album called '' Sunstorm'' was released in 2006, followed in 2009 by their second album ''House of Dreams''. '' Emotional Fire'' is the third release, out in 2012. In 2016, it was announced that Joe Lynn Turner would record a new Sunstorm album, this time following a heavier sound, similar to another project of his called Rated X, but keeping the melodic side trademark of the project. Jorn (band)
Jorn is a Norwegian hard rock and metal band fronted by vocalist Jørn Lande. Other members include guitarist Tore Moren, bassist Sid Ringsby and drummer Francesco Jovino. The band was established in 2000 by Lande and the debut album ''Starfire (Jorn album), Starfire'' was released the same year. The band was the main artist at ProgPower USA in 2006, and they played at the Norway Rock Festival and the Metal Heart Festival in 2007, as well as the Jorddunst Festival in 2009. Jim Peterik
James Michael Peterik ( ; born November 11, 1950) is an American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the founder of the rock band Survivor, as vocalist and songwriter of "Vehicle" by the Ides of March, and as co-writer of the anthem "Eye of the Tiger", the theme from the 1982 film ''Rocky III''. Peterik has co-written songs for 38 Special (" Rockin' into the Night",, "Hold On Loosely and "Caught Up in You"), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackhawk, Cheap Trick, Sammy Hagar (" Heavy Metal"), Cathy Richardson, Dennis DeYoung, Van Zant, Brian Wilson, REO Speedwagon, and The Beach Boys. Voodoo Circle
Voodoo Circle, also known as Alex Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle, is a German hard rock band founded in 2008, as a project of Silent Force guitarist Alex Beyrodt (currently also playing with heavy metal band Primal Fear) who had the idea to re-think his personal vision of music, making songs more based on his early influences, such as Whitesnake, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple and Rainbow. DGM ("Diego, Gianfranco and Maurizio", after the founding members) is an Italian progressive metal band. Over the course of the band's history, they have had numerous line-up changes, with none of the founding members in the band's current line up and eight previous members since 1994. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Joe Lynn Turner (born Joseph Arthur Mark Linquito, August 2, 1951) is an American singer known for his work in the hard rock bands Rainbow, Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Deep Purple. During his career, Turner fronted and played guitar with pop rock band Fandango in the late 1970s; and in the early 1980s, he became a member of Rainbow, fronting the band and writing songs with guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore and bassist, and producer, Roger Glover. After Rainbow had disbanded in March 1984, he pursued a solo career, released one album, Rescue You, and sang backing vocals for Billy Joel, Cher, and Michael Bolton along with radio and television jingles.
