Don Edgardo Colona (1846–1904) was the stage name of Edgar Chalmers, a hard-working lesser tragedian in British theater. Colona grew up in Mexico, the son of a Scots mining engineer. Alcides Ghiggia
Alcides Edgardo Ghiggia Pereyra (; 22 December 1926 – 16 July 2015) was a Uruguayan-Italian football player, who played as a right winger. He achieved lasting fame for his decisive role in the final match of the 1950 World Cup, and at the time of his death exactly 65 years later, he was also the last surviving player from that game. Career Ghiggia's family was of Ticinese descent originally from Sonvico. He played for the national sides of both Uruguay and Italy during his career. He also played for Peñarol and Danubio in Uruguay and A.S. Roma and A.C. Milan in Italy. In 1950, Ghiggia, then playing for Uruguay, scored the winning goal against Brazil in the final match of that year's World Cup. Edgardo Rivera García (born January 3, 1955) is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. He was nominated by Governor Luis Fortuño to succeed retired Justice Efraín Rivera Pérez. Nominated on August 3, 2010, he was confirmed by the Senate of Puerto Rico on September 8, 2010. Edgardo Fulgencio (29 October 1917 – 28 October 2004) is a Filipino former basketball player who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics. Ding, as he is called by his friends before he was teased 'kalembang', started his basketball career in 1933 at the age of 16. Fulgencio transferred to Jose Rizal College and made the team in 1937. Then came the last war and at the age of 24, Ding was recruited by Skip Guinto, son of then Mayor Leon Guinto to join the Manila Flatties team along with Bobby Jones, Totong Martinez, Franco Marquicias, Felicisimo Fajardo and Guinto himself. It was a strong team that ruled all tournaments in Manila during the Japanese Occupation.
