Edgar Tallado
Edgardo "Egay" Tallado (born July 9, 1963) is a Filipino politician from the province of Camarines Norte in the Philippines. He previously served as a Governor of Camarines Norte from 2010 to 2022. He ran for governor in 2007 and lost, but the result was overturned in his favor in 2010 via an election recount. He was elected as governor in May of that same year and was re-elected in 2013 as his second term, third term in 2016 and last term in 2019. Camarines Norte ( bcl, Amihanan na Camarines; fil, Hilagang Camarines), officially the Province of Camarines Norte, is a Provinces of the Philippines, province in the Philippines located in the Bicol Region in Luzon. Its capital is Daet, Camarines Norte, Daet. The province borders Quezon to the west, Camarines Sur to the south, and the Philippine Sea to the north. It has historically been a Bikol speaking region. Ricarte "Dong" Robledo Padilla is a Filipino politician who currently serves as the Governor of Camarines Norte. He is the brother of Senator Robin Padilla and actor Rommel Padilla. Early life Ricarte Padilla was born in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte to Roy Padilla Sr., a former Governor of Camarines Norte who was assassinated in 1988. He has 10 siblings, including Robin Padilla, Rommel Padilla, Royette Padilla, and Rustom Padilla or BB Gandanghari. Each of them was respectively Senator, Actor, Former Congressman, and model. His grandfather was also a former Governor of Bulacan. Career Padilla was the former mayor of Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte before running for Vice Governor but losing with 117,952 votes. He filed an unsuccessful appeal to the Supreme Court of the Philippines, Supreme Court against the result. In 2022, Padilla was elected as Governor of Camarines Norte with 162,081 votes.
