Ederson Honorato Campos (born 13 January 1986) is a Brazilian former professional Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Early career Ederson began his footballing career playing on the streets of São Paulo. When he was 15, he joined Brazilian second tier club RS Futebol. After a year of obscurity, Ederson joined top division side Esporte Clube Juventude, Juventude, who, at the time, was managed by Ricardo Gomes, who would go on manage top French clubs FC Girondins de Bordeaux, Bordeaux and AS Monaco FC, Monaco. Ederson flourished at Juventude. His performances earned him a call up to the Brazil national football team, Brazil under-17 team, whom he helped win the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship, 2003 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Finland. Ederson Santana de Moraes (born 17 August 1993), known as Ederson, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Manchester City and the Brazil national team. Ederson started his career at São Paulo in 2008 before joining Portuguese side Benfica one year later, where he would spend two seasons. In 2012, he transferred from Ribeirão to Primeira Liga side Rio Ave and became a regular starter there. He rejoined Benfica in 2015 and was assigned to the reserves before debuting for the first team, with whom he would win four major titles in two seasons. For the 2017–18 season, Ederson joined English club Manchester City for £35 million and became the most expensive goalkeeper of all-time in terms of the nominal value of pound sterling at the time of his transfer.
