Edenbridge (band)
Edenbridge are a symphonic metal band from Austria, led by songwriter Arne "Lanvall" Stockhammer and fronted by soprano singer Sabine Edelsbacher. Established in 1998, the band has so far released ten studio albums. History 1998-2004 Edenbridge was formed in 1998 by guitarist and keyboardist Lanvall, singer Sabine Edelsbacher, and bassist Kurt Bednarsky. The line-up was completed when drummer Roland Navratil joined the band. Edenbridge entered the recording studio in 1999, signing a record deal with Massacre Records the same year. In the following year, their debut album ''Sunrise in Eden'' was released. The band added a second guitarist, Georg Edelmann, to its line-up in February 2000, but his stay with the band was to be a short one. When he left in January 2001, he was replaced by Andreas Eiblar. Edenbridge is a town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the Sevenoaks (district), Sevenoaks district of Kent, England. Its name derives from Old English ''Eadhelmsbrigge'' (meaning "Eadhelm's Bridge"). It is located on the border of Kent and Surrey, on the upper floodplain of the River Medway and takes its name from that river's tributary, the River Eden, Kent, River Eden. The town had a population of 7,808 in 2011. History The old part of the town grew along a section of the otherwise disused Roman roads in Britain, Roman road, the London to Lewes Way (Roman road), London to Lewes Way at the point where it crossed the river. Slag, Iron slag from iron smelting in the surrounding area was used in building the road. In the Middle Ages it became a centre of the Wealden iron industry. Edenbridge, Saskatchewan
Edenbridge was a Jewish farming settlement northeast of Melfort, Saskatchewan. Its first residents came from Lithuania via South Africa. The name is an Anglicization of Yid'n Bridge (Jews' Bridge), for a nearby bridge over the Carrot River. At its peak the Edenbridge Hebrew Colony had about 170 inhabitants, a post office, a school, and a synagogue; Beth Israel Synagogue. The settlement is now abandoned.
