Eddo Stern
Eddo Stern (born 1972 in Tel Aviv) is a California-based artist and developer known for creating experimental video games, game art and machinima-based works. Stern was a founding member of the physical-computing based collective and artist-run space C-Level. He holds a BA in Electronic Media and Art from University of California at Santa Cruz and an MFA in Art and Integrated Media from California Institute of the Arts. A professor at University of California Los Angeles' Design Media Arts program, he is additionally the director of the UCLA Game Lab. Machine Project
Machine Project was a Los Angeles based not-for-profit arts organization and community event space. History Founded by Mark Allen, Machine Project launched in 2003 with its inaugural show, ‘Tom Jennings - Story Teller,’ an installation produced by Tom Jennings, which was displayed from December 6, 2003 until January 24, 2004. In the museums first year, it displayed six different exhibits. Babycastles Gallery
Babycastles is an indie game development collective, arcade, and art space in New York City. Programming The Babycastles arcade was designed to give independent game developers a public place to show their projects, and to establish such games as a social culture for New York City. The arcade was originally co-located with the music venue Silent Barn in Queens. On most nights each week, the Babycastles basement arcade of indie and amateur video games opened during music shows upstairs. The space was open for those who paid for entrance to the upstairs show. The arcade's several games and their curators rotated on a monthly basis and were set in scavenged, do-it-yourself arcade cabinets.
