Eddie Phillips (quarterback)
Eddie Phillips is a former American football player who started as quarterback for the Texas Longhorns in the early 1970s. In 1970, he led the Longhorns to a share of the National Championship while leading the Southwest Conference in total touchdowns. Despite an award-winning, record-breaking performance in the 1971 Cotton Bowl, Texas lost, breaking its 30-game winning streak and handing the AP crown to Nebraska. The Texas Longhorns football program is the intercollegiate team representing the University of Texas at Austin (variously Texas or UT) in the sport of American football. Ricky Williams
Errick Miron (born Errick Lynne Williams Jr.; May 21, 1977) is an American former football running back who played 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) and one season in the Canadian Football League (CFL). After playing baseball and football at Patrick Henry High School in San Diego, California, Williams played college football for the Texas Longhorns, where he was a two-time unanimous All-American and won the 1998 Heisman Trophy. He broke the NCAA Division I-A records for career rushing yards and all-purpose yards during his senior season. Thomas Wade Landry (September 11, 1924 – February 12, 2000) was an American professional football player and coach. He was the first head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL), a position he held for 29 seasons. Michael Gene Mosley (born June 30, 1958 in Hillsboro, Texas) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League. Early years Mosley starred at Humble High School in Humble, Texas. He played quarterback at Texas A&M where he finished his career 3rd all-time for the Aggies in rushing yards by a quarterback. Graham Stanton Harrell (born May 22, 1985) is an American football coach and former quarterback, who is the current offensive coordinator for the Purdue Boilermakers. Donnie Little (born October 14, 1959) is a former American football quarterback. He was the quarterback of the Texas Longhorns from 1978 to 1980, and in 1978 was the first black quarterback to play for The University of Texas. He is credited with "opening doors" for future black quarterbacks at Texas, such as James Brown and Vince Young. Early life Little was born in Dickinson, Texas and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1978. He started playing high school football during his junior year when the football coach encouraged black students to play football.
