Eddie Brown (1918–1992) was an American tap dancer. Origin When Eddie Brown was 16, he entered a talent contest in his hometown when he was sixteen years old. He won first place and was discovered by famous American entertainer Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, who offered him a job in New York. Brown’s parents would not allow him to travel across the country to dance because he was still in school, however Brown went to New York anyway. Eddie Brown (Canadian Football)
"Downtown" Eddie Brown (born August 6, 1966) is a former slotback in the Canadian Football League between 1990 & 2002. Brown played with eight CFL teams, and appeared in two Grey Cup championships with the Edmonton Eskimos, winning the 81st Grey Cup in 1993. In 1995, he played for the Memphis Mad Dogs. In 1996, after the demise of the Memphis Mad Dogs, he re-signed with the Edmonton Eskimos. In 1999, he played for the BC Lions. In total he caught 532 passes for 8663 yards in 160 career CFL games with 63 touchdowns. Eddie had 3 1,000 yard seasons, all with Edmonton, and was a CFL All-Star in 1996 as well as Western All-Star in 1996 and 1999. Edward Brown (27 November 1911 – 16 April 1978) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket in 28 matches for Warwickshire between 1932 and 1934. He was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and died at Castle Bromwich, Birmingham. Brown was a tail-end right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler with what '' Wisden Cricketers' Almanack'' termed "a dangerous swerve". Brought up in Darlington, he played club cricket in North East England before joining Warwickshire in the early 1930s. Eddie Lee Brown (born December 18, 1962) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1985–1991. He played college football at the University of Miami. College career Brown was part of the 1983 Miami Hurricanes football team that upset the University of Nebraska in the 1984 Orange Bowl to earn Miami's first National Championship. Paul Edward Brown (born February 19, 1952) is a former American football safety in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cleveland Browns, the Washington Redskins, and the Los Angeles Rams. He played college football at the University of Tennessee. Brown attended Marion County High School in Jasper and graduated in 1970. At the University of Tennessee, he was a safety and punt returner. In 1973, he was team captain as a senior and was a first-team All-America selection by Football News. Brown was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the eighth round of the 1974 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Washington Redskins during the 1975 season, and was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection during the 1976 and 1977 seasons. Eddie Brown (born October 2, 1969), nicknamed "Touchdown", is a former arena football offensive specialist who played for the Albany/Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League (AFL) from 1994 to 2003. He played college football at Louisiana Tech. Professional career Brown played for the Albany Firebirds from 1994 until 2000, when he had to retire after the first game of the 2000 season due to the custody battle of his daughter. In his time in Albany, Eddie won ArenaBowl XIII in 1999 and won ArenaBowl MVP. He also won the AFL's Most Valuable Player award in 1994. Edwin Brown (28 February 1926 – 12 July 2012) was an English footballer who played as a centre forward. He played professionally for a number of clubs, but the peak of his career was spent with Birmingham City during their most successful period in the 1950s. Edward James "Bongo" Brown (September 13, 1932 – December 28, 1984) was an American percussionist known for his work with The Funk Brothers, Detroit-based session musicians who performed the backing to most Motown recordings from 1959 to 1972. Biography Brown was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on September 13, 1932. He was raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He later moved to Detroit and in 1962 he joined The Funk Brothers, Motown Records' in-house session musicians.
