The Echuca United Football and Netball Club Inc. (EUFNC) known as Echuca United Eagles was formed from the merger of Echuca South and Echuca East Football Netball Clubs. It is affiliated with the Murray Football Netball League, Shepparton and Districts Junior Football League and Goulburn Campaspe Junior Football League. The Echuca United Football and Netball Club is a Good Sports accredited club. The club is smoke-free and the changerooms have been alcohol free since 2001. It is a family orientated, safe and enjoyable place for all ages to be involved. Murray Football League
The Murray Football Netball League is an Australian rules football and netball league affiliated with the Victorian Country Football League. The league covers a large area of northern Victoria and southern New South Wales from Shepparton in the south to Deniliquin in the north. It covers much the same area as the Picola & District Football League but the teams tend to be the larger communities and towns. History The "Murray Football League" (MFL) was established in 1931, when it superseded the old Goulburn Valley Football Association, with the following clubs, Barooga, Cobram, Numurkah, Strathmerton and Tocumwal. Nathalia Football Club's admission into the MFL was initially rejected in 1931 by club delegates and they entered the Western and Moira Ridings Football Association. Michael Braun (footballer)
Michael Braun (born 24 March 1978) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the AFL's West Coast Eagles. Playing for Echuca United as a youngster in the Northern and Echuca Football League, he was recruited from Echuca/Bendigo Pioneers and made his debut in 1997. Braun announced his AFL retirement midway through the 2008 AFL season, effective at the end of the season. After retiring from playing football he became the Colts' coach at East Perth Football Club in the WAFL. Caitlyn Nevins
Caitlyn Nevins (born 1 June 1987), also known as Caitlyn Strachan, is a former Australia netball international. Between 2014 and 2016, she was a member of three successive ANZ Championship winning teams. She won her first title with the 2014 Melbourne Vixens before winning the 2015 and 2016 titles with Queensland Firebirds. She was a member of the Victorian Fury teams that won Australian Netball League titles in 2009, 2013 and 2014. Early life, family and education Strachan is the daughter of Lyn and Rob Strachan. She is originally from Victoria, born in Geelong and raised in Echuca. Between 1999 and 2004 she attended Echuca High School and between 2005 and 2008 she attended La Trobe University where she gained a Bachelor of Podiatry.
