Ecclesiastical Province Of British Columbia And The Yukon
The Ecclesiastical Province of British Columbia and Yukon is one of four ecclesiastical provinces in the Anglican Church of Canada. It was founded in 1914 as the Ecclesiastical Province of British Columbia, but changed its name in 1943 when the Diocese of Yukon was incorporated from the Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert's Land. The territory covered by the province encompasses the civil province of British Columbia and Yukon. Frederick Du Vernet
Frederick Herbert Du Vernet (1860 – 22 October 1924) was the second Bishop of Caledonia and inaugural Metropolitan of British Columbia (taking the title Archbishop of Caledonia whilst Metropolitan.) Terry Buckle
Terrence Owen Buckle (24 August 1940 – 10 September 2020) was a Canadian Anglican bishop. He was Archbishop of Yukon from 1995 to 2010 and Metropolitan of British Columbia and Yukon from 2005 until 2010, in the Anglican Church of Canada. David Crawley (bishop)
David Perry Crawley was Archbishop of Kootenay and Metropolitan of British Columbia and Yukon from 1994 to 2004. He was born in 1937, the son of the Rev. Canon George Antony Crawley and Lucy Lillian Ball, and educated at the University of Manitoba and the University of Kent at Canterbury. He was ordained in 1961 and was the incumbent at St Thomas', Sherwood Park until 1966. He was Canon Missioner at All Saints Cathedral, Edmonton from 1967 until 1970 and Rector of St Matthew's, Winnipeg from 1971 until 1977. He was Archdeacon of Winnipeg from 1974 to 1977 and of Rupert's Land until 1981. John Hannen
John Edward Hannen (born 19 November 1937) was the eighth Bishop of Caledonia. Rt. Rev. John E. Hannen was adopted as a wolf member of Kwaxsuu by late Peter Calder, he held the name Lihlksim Matx Gibuu, which is translated as Wolf Shepherd. Hannen was educated at McGill University and ordained in 1964 after studying at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield. After a curacy at St Alphege's Solihull he was priest in charge at the mission to the Hart Highway in the Diocese of Caledonia. Anglican Diocese Of Cariboo
The Diocese of Cariboo was a diocese of the Ecclesiastical Province of British Columbia and the Yukon of the Anglican Church of Canada. Incorporated in 1914, the diocese ceased operations on December 31, 2001 when the financial strain of legal costs from third party claims made by the Government of Canada, associated with damage suits brought by former students of the Anglican-run St George's Indian Residential School in Lytton, B.C., exhausted the diocese financially. The parishes of the former Diocese of Cariboo were formed into the Anglican Parishes of the Central Interior and were overseen by a Suffragan Bishop to the Metropolitan. Ralph Dean
Ralph Stanley Dean (1913, London23 August 1987) was the fifth Bishop of Cariboo and sixth Metropolitan of British Columbia. Dean was born in London in 1913, educated at The John Roan School and ordained in 1939. After curacies at St Mary, Islington and St Luke, Watford he was Chaplain, Tutor and then Vice Principal at the London College of Divinity. Emigrating to Canada, he was Principal of Emmanuel College, Saskatoon, Canada and the Incumbent at Sutherland until his elevation to the episcopate in 1956. Harold Sexton
Harold Eustace Sexton (14 May 1888 – 29 March 1972) was an eminent Anglican bishop in the mid-20th century. He was educated at St Peter's College, Adelaide and Keble College, Oxford and ordained in 1912.
