Eccellenza Lombardy
Eccellenza Lombardy ( it, Eccellenza Lombardia) is the regional Eccellenza football division for clubs in Lombardy, Italy. It is competed amongst 48 teams, in three groups (A, B and C). The winners of the Groups are promoted to Serie D. The club which finishes second also has the chance to gain promotion, they are entered into a national play-off which consists of two rounds. Lega Nazionale Dilettanti
The Lega Nazionale Dilettanti (National Amateur League) is the league which rules amateur football of Italian Football Federation (FIGC) in Italy. Founded in 1959 in Rome, it has many leagues inside: a national league, the Inter-regional Committee, which organizes the Serie D championship from 1981, 19 regional leagues organized by 20 Regional Committees (Piedmont and Aosta Valley shared the same committee; South Tyrol and Trentino has its own committee but same regional league), the Women Football Division, and the Futsal Division. Eccellenza Divisions
The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Promotion and relegation After the regular season is completed, the first-placed team for each division is automatically promoted to Serie D. Each division also admits one other team to participate in national playoffs that take place in late May and early June. Some divisions select the second-placed team directly, while other divisions schedule a series of divisional playoff games among the top teams in that division in order to determine the national playoff participant. Aurora Seriate Calcio
Aurora Seriate Calcio or simply Aurora Seriate was an Italian association football club, based in Seriate, Lombardy. Aurora Seriate last played in Serie D. History The club was founded in 1967 and developed in the next decade within the parish dispute for several years provincial championships. In 2008, it won the championship of Prima Categoria and a historic promotion to Promozione. In the 2008–09 season in the Promozione, Aurora Seriate ended in fifth place but, due to winning the Italian Cup final category, the jump to 2009–10 Eccellenza was allowed. In Eccellenza, the first year ended in second place, behind Rudianese and losing the final of the playoffs by the later promoted Sterilgarda Castiglione. Nuova Verolese Calcio Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica was a football team based on Verolanuova, Lombardy. History Foundation The club was founded in 1911 and refounded in 1976. Promozione
The Promozione (, "promotion") is the sixth level in the Italian football league system. Each individual league winner within the Promozione level progresses to their closest regional league in the Eccellenza level. Depending on each league's local rules, a number of teams each year are relegated from each league, to the 7th level of Italian football, the Prima Categoria. This level of Italian football is completely amateur and is run on a regional level. History in brief In the past, from 1904 to 1912, the Seconda Categoria had been the second level of Italian local regional tournaments in which main teams used to field apprentices and reserves.
