Ecatepec Region
Region V (Spanish: Región V. Ecatepec) is an intrastate region within the State of Mexico. It lies to the north of Mexico City in the Valley of Mexico, borders the state of Hidalgo, and the whole region is one of 10 regions in the state which comprise the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico, but the least populated least dense and farthest municipality is not included in the definition of Mexico City Metropolitan Area (see Greater Mexico City). The Valley of Mexico ( es, Valle de México) is a highlands plateau in central Mexico roughly coterminous with present-day Mexico City and the eastern half of the State of Mexico. Hidalgo (state)
Hidalgo (), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Hidalgo ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Hidalgo) is one of the 31 states which, along with Mexico City, constitute the 32 federal entities of Mexico. It is divided into 84 municipalities and its capital city is Pachuca de Soto. Ecatepec De Morelos
Ecatepec (), officially Ecatepec de Morelos, is a municipality in the central Mexican state of Mexico, and is situated in the north part of the greater Mexico City urban area. The municipal seat is San Cristóbal Ecatepec. The city of Ecatepec is practically co-extensive with the municipality, comprising 99% of the total municipal population of 1,645,352. It is Mexico's fourth most-populous municipality after Tijuana, León and Puebla, and the most populated suburb of Greater Mexico City. Tecámac is a municipality in State of Mexico in Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 157.34 km². The municipal seat lies in the town (locality) of Tecámac de Felipe Villanueva. Temascalapa is one of 125 municipalities in the State of Mexico in Mexico. It's municipal seat is the town of Temascalapa. It is located to the north of Mexico City and to the west of the municipality. It is situated close to the border with the state of Hidalgo, and connected with the city of Tizayuca by land. Acolman
Acolman de Nezahualcóyotl is a town and municipality located in the northern part of State of Mexico, part of the Greater Mexico City area, just north of the city proper. According to myth, the first man was placed here after being taken out of Lake Texcoco. In the community of Tepexpan, the fossilized bones more than 12,000 years old of a man were found in the 20th century. The settlement was founded in the 8th century and was an important commerce center at the time of the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. After the Conquest, Acolman became the site of an important Augustinian monastery in the 16th century which still contains important art and architecture from that time period.
