Christopher Eberts is a Canadian film and television producer. His films include ''Lucky Number Slevin'' and ''Lord of War''. Early life Raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Eberts attended McGill University and graduated with a BA in English, Film and Communications. Prior to working in the film and television business, he worked for four years in the Merchant Banking Division of Salomon Brothers, in New York City. His uncle is producer Jake Eberts. David McEwen Eberts
David McEwen Eberts (April 22, 1850 – May 20, 1924) was a lawyer and political figure in British Columbia, Canada. He represented Victoria from 1890 to 1894, South Victoria from 1894 to 1903 and Saanich from 1907 to 1916 in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia as a Conservative. He was born in Chatham, Ontario, the son of William Duncan Eberts and Mary Bell McEwen, and was educated there and in London, Ontario. Eberts studied law, came to British Columbia in 1878 and was called to the British Columbia bar in 1882. He married Mabel Hope Charles in 1884. In 1892, he was named Queen's Counsel. He served in the Executive Council as Attorney General from 1895 to 1898 and from 1900 to 1903. Eberts was speaker for the assembly from 1907 to 1916. He was defeated when he ran for election to the assembly in 1903 and 1916. Jake Eberts
Jake Eberts, OC (July 10, 1941 – September 6, 2012) was a Canadian film producer, executive and financier. He was known for risk-taking and producing a consistently high caliber of movies including such Academy Award-winning titles as ''Chariots of Fire'' (1981, uncredited), ''Gandhi'' (1982), ''Dances with Wolves'' (1990), and the successful animated feature ''Chicken Run'' (2000). Life and career Eberts was born John David Eberts in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the son of Elizabeth (MacDougall), an interior decorator, and Edmond Eberts, who worked for an aluminum manufacturer. Eberts grew up in Montreal and Arvida. He attended Bishop's College School in Lennoxville, Quebec and graduated from McGill University (Bachelor of Chemical Engineering 1962) and Harvard Business School (MBA 1966). Ken Eberts (born July 4, 1943) is an American painter who has been a major contributor to the automotive art genre. He is a founding member of the Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS), and has been its president since its inception in 1983. Martin Eberts
Martin Eberts (born 1957) is a German diplomat. From 2014 to 2018 he served as the Director General of the German Institute Taipei. In 2020 he was appointed as the Consul General at the German Consulate in Osaka, Japan. Career Eberts began his preparatory service for the Federal Foreign Office in 1986 and completed the training program in 1991. He was appointed as an advisor for press and public relations at the German Embassy in Hungary and, from 1991 to 1993, worked as an advisor for Central Europe at the Foreign Office in Bonn. From 1993 to 1997 he as a political and public relations officer at the German Embassy in Saudi Arabia. The following year Eberts was part of an exchange program with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in France, advising on Eastern European affairs. Mary Anne Eberts (born January 18, 1947) is a Canadian constitutional lawyer and a former University of Toronto Faculty of Law faculty member. She is a founding member of the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) Early life and education Eberts was born in St. Thomas, Ontario. Eberts was educated at University of Western Ontario and Harvard Law School. Career Eberts taught law at the University of Toronto (U of T) for six years before joining a Bay Street law firm where she became a partner. She eventually opened her own law practice in 1980, from where she appeared as counsel in the Supreme Court of Canada, Courts of Appeal, and Superior Courts in Ontario. Eberts Field
Eberts Field is a former military airfield, located northwest of Lonoke, Arkansas. The airfield was one of thirty-two Air Service training camps established in 1917 after the United States entry into World War I. It operated as a training field during World War I for the Air Service, United States Army between 1917 until 1919. The airfield was also used as a contract glider training airfield during World War II by the United States Army Air Forces, being closed in 1943. Today the land is used in aquaculture. History Eberts Field was named for Signal Corps Captain Melchior Eberts, a native Arkansan and a West Point Graduate. On 11 August 1916, he was attached to the Aviation Section of the Signal Corps and on 3 March 1917 received the rating of junior military aviation. He was ordered from his station at Rockwell Field, San Diego, California to Columbus Airfield, New Mexico on 3 May 1917. Eberts Villaby (literally "Ebert's Villa Town") is an enclave of late 19th-century detached houses situated just off Amagerbrogade in the otherwise more dense Sundby district on Amager in Copenhagen, Denmark. History The development takes its name after Herman Ebert who acquired a farm at the site in 1894. He constructed a fountain at the centre of the development, a pumping station at its highest point and began the construction of houses which he sold to members of the Copenhagen middle class as they were completed.
