John Eberson
John Adolph Emil Eberson (January 2, 1875 – March 5, 1954) was an Austrian-American architect best known for the development and promotion of movie palace designs in the atmospheric theatre style. He designed over 500 theatres in his lifetime, earning the nickname "Opera House John". His most notable surviving theatres in the United States include the Tampa Theatre (1926), Palace Theatre (1928), Majestic Theatre (1929), Akron Civic Theatre (1929) and Paramount Theatre (1929). Remaining international examples in the atmospheric style include both the Capitol Theatre (1928) and State Theatre (1929) in Sydney, Australia, The Forum (1929, Melbourne, Australia) and Le Grand Rex (1932, Paris, France). Jon Eberson
Jon Arild Eberson (born 6 January 1953) is a Norwegian jazz guitarist and composer, the son of jazz guitarist Leif Eberson (1925–1970), and the father of keyboardist Marte Maaland Eberson. He was a member of the bands Moose Loose (1973–77), Radka Toneff Quintet (1975–80), and Blow Out (1977–78). Career Eberson had his debut recording as a guitarist on Ketil Bjørnstad's debut album ''Åpning'' (1972). In 1980 he formed the Jon Eberson Group, supported by vocalist and lyricist Sidsel Endresen. The group attracted attention with ''Jive Talking'' (1981), which was awarded the Spellemannprisen, and ''City Visions'' (1984), but disbanded in 1986. The following year he released the ''Eberson Pigs'' and ''Poetry'' with Endresen, and he has continued to be noticed in a variety of contexts like the Jazzpunkensemblet. Lennart Eberson
Lennart Eugén Eberson, (5 January 1933 – 1 February 2000) was a Swedish chemist. Eberson graduated with a Ph.D. degree in 1959 from Lund University with a thesis entitled "Studies in the Succinic and Glutaric Acid Series". From 1979 until his retirement in 1998, he was Professor of organic chemistry at Lund University. He authored several books, including the text books ''Introduktion till den organiska kemin'' (1965) and ''Organisk kemi'' (1970; 2nd edition 1977). He was elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in 1974, and to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1988. Family Lennart Eberson was son of shop manager Ebbe Eberson and Margit Eberson, née Fardrup. Married in 1957 to Anne-Marie Hansson, daughter of accountant Hilding Hansson and Margareta Hansson, née Lundgren. Marte Eberson
Marte Maaland Eberson is a Norwegian keyboardist and composer, known from bands including Morning Has Occurred and Highasakite. She is the daughter of the guitarist Jon Eberson. Career Eberson was born in Oslo, and obtained her formal musical education from the Music program at Foss videregående skole, "Sund Folkehøgskole", followed by a bachelor's degree from the Jazz program at Griegakademiet ( UiB) in Bergen. She is involved in many different bands and various musical contexts, most recently with the band Eberson Funk Ensemble, a band including her guitarist father Jon Eberson, Pål Thowsen, Sigurd Hole and Kim Erik Pedersen at Victoria, the Norwegian National Jazz Scene in Oslo 2013. In 2011, Eberson won the "Jazz i sikte" ("Jazz in sight") with the band Lugom Trio and placed second in the "Urørt" final with the electronica duo Machine Birds.
