Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury ( bn, এবাদত হোসেন চৌধুরী; born 7 January 1994), better known as simply Ebadot Hossain, nicknamed 'Sylhet Rocket' due to his speed and skill, is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his international debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in February 2019. He is also an active soldier of Bangladesh Air Force. Early life Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury was born on 7 January 1994 to a Bengali Muslim family of Chowdhuries in the village of Kathaltali in Barlekha, Moulvibazar District. He was the second of the six children of Nizamuddin Chowdhury and Samia Begum. In 2012, Ebadot Hossain joined Bangladesh Air Force as a volleyball player. In 2016, he attended a pacer hunt competition conducted by BCB under Aaqib Javed's supervision. Ebadot was picked by Aaqib for BCB's High-Performance program. Barlekha Upazila
Barlekha ( bn, বড়লেখা, Bôrlekha) is an upazila (sub-district) of Moulvibazar District, located in Bangladesh's Sylhet Division. Etymology Barlekha Upazila is named after Barlekha (formerly 'Barlikha') which means Great ''Likha''. Kathaltali
Kathaltali ( bn, কাঠালতলী, Kathaltoli, Under the jackfruit) is a large village (separated into two villages) located in North Dakshinbhag Union, Barlekha Upazila, Sylhet District, Bangladesh. The population of the village is 3,162 with 1,545 living in South Kathaltali and 1,617 living in North Kathaltali. North Kathaltali is in the 4th ward of the Union while South Kathaltali is in the 5th ward. It has three mosques, Kathaltali Jame Mosque, Kathaltali Taki Jame Mosque and Kathaltali Bazar Jame Mosque. The 2017 BPL season, also known as BPL 5 or AKS BPL 2017 Powered by Shah Cement (for sponsorship reasons), was the fifth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top level professional Twenty20 cricket franchise league in Bangladesh. The Rangpur Riders ( Rangpuriya/ bn, রংপুর রাইডার্স), is a professional cricket team based in Rangpur City, Rangpur. The Riders, compete in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the premier cricket league in Bangladesh. The Rangpur Riders, joined the league as a member in 2013, prior to the second edition of the tournament. The 2016–17 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was the fourth edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh between April and June 2017. The tournament started on 12 April 2017 with player transfers beginning on 17 March 2017. Abahani Limited were the defending champions. The 2016–17 National Cricket League was the eighteenth edition of the National Cricket League, a first-class cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. The tournament started on 25 September 2016 and concluded on 6 January 2017. Khulna Division were the defending champions. Heavy rain affected the first three rounds of matches, with only two matches out of twelve ending in a result other than a draw. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced that all matches scheduled to take place on 14 October 2016 would be delayed until the weather improved. Sylhet Division Cricket Team
The Sylhet Division cricket team is a Bangladeshi first-class team representing the Sylhet Division, one of the country's seven administrative regions. The team competes in the National Cricket League and was formerly a participant in the now-defunct National Cricket League One-Day.
