Eastview, Missouri
Eastview is an extinct town in northeastern Taney County, Missouri, Taney County, in the Ozarks of southwest Missouri. The location is along a ridge occupied by Farm Road 147 which is a portion of the scenic Glade Top Trail within the Mark Twain National Forest. A post office called Eastview was established in 1901, and remained in operation until 1928. The community was so named on account of its lofty elevation. References

Eastview, New York
Eastview (or East View) is a business district and former hamlet in Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, New York, United States, located approximately 25 miles north of Midtown Manhattan. It was primarily residential, and had a post office, railroad station, and school. In the late 1920s, John D. Rockefeller, Jr. purchased most of the hamlet's property and razed the buildings. The Hammond House, a National Register of Historic Places-listed farmhouse dating to the 1720s, is located in the district, on New York State Route 100C. Currently, dozens of commercial buildings have been developed in the area. Eastview is a town in McNairy County, Tennessee. The population was 705 at the 2010 census. History Eastview is rooted in a three-room house and filling station established by the Littlejohn family in 1927. These buildings both faced east, giving the town its name. Vanier, formerly Eastview, is a neighbourhood in the Rideau-Vanier Ward of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada's east end. Historically francophone and working class, the neighbourhood was a separate city until being amalgamated into Ottawa in 2001. It no longer has a majority francophone population. By 2012 its francophone population had shrunk to less than 40% from 63% in the early 1980s. East View Stakes
The East View Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York. It is restricted to fillies bred in the State of New York. Run in December, the race is contested on dirt over a distance of miles. The race was inaugurated in 1910 at the Empire City Race Track in Yonkers, New York as a contest for horses of either sex. Due to a New York State ban on parimutuel betting there was no race run in 1911, 1912, or 1913. It was not run in 1915 and in 1953 the event was suspended indefinitely. It was revived in 1978 with its current entry restrictions. The race was hosted by the Jamaica Race Course from 1943 through 1946, at Belmont Park in 1947, and again at the Jamaica Race Course from 1948 through 1953 after which it was moved to its present location at Aqueduct Racetrack.
