Eastern Wayne High School (EWHS) is a public high school located in Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina, United States. It opened in 1969. It is classified as a 3-A school with enrollment estimated at 1100 students. The school mascot is the Warrior, and its colors are navy blue and gold. The school received a Silver Medal designation in '' U.S. News & World Report''s "America’s Best High Schools" rankings, and had a graduation rate of 91.1%. Goldsboro, originally Goldsborough, is a city and the county seat of Wayne County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 33,657 at the 2020 census. Sam Narron (pitcher)
Samuel Franklin Narron (born July 12, 1981) is an American former professional baseball pitcher and current pitching coach for the Potomac Nationals. He pitched in one game in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers in the season. He was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 15th round of the 2002 MLB draft. On April 28, 2008, Narron hit a home run for the Huntsville Stars, the first home run on the season for a pitcher. He is the grandson of former major league catcher and coach Sam Narron and cousin of catcher and manager Jerry Narron. Manny Lawson (born July 3, 1984) is a former American football outside linebacker. He played college football at North Carolina State, and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Lawson also played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills. Early years His father, Donald P. He played only one year of college football at Miami Hurricanes football, University of Miami after playing four years of college basketball, basketball.
