{{Unreferenced, date=December 2009 The Eastern Shore District is a high school conference that competes in A Region A of the Virginia High School League. The district is located in the Eastern Shore of Virginia which is isolated in the Delmarva Peninsula from the rest of the Commonwealth which include all the public schools in Accomack County, Virginia, Accomack County and Northampton County, Virginia, Northampton County. Though all of the district's members are currently in Group A, it is not uncommon to see multiple members play in Group AA from time to time when the district offers a combination format. The schools in the Eastern Shore District compete with the schools in the A Northern Neck District, A Tidewater District, and the A Tri-Rivers District in A Region A. Member schools

A Region A
The Virginia High School League (VHSL) is the principal sanctioning organization for interscholastic athletic competition among public high schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The VHSL first sponsored debate and also continues to sponsor state championships in several academic activities. Private and religious schools and teams of homeschooled students belong to other sanctioning organizations, the largest of which is the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association. Proposals in the Virginia General Assembly to mandate that the VHSL allow homeschooled students to compete for the public high school they would otherwise attend have failed to pass. History The VHSL was established in 1913 by members of both the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society and the Washington Literary Society and Debating Union at the University of Virginia to serve as a debating league for the state's high schools. Arcadia High School (Oak Hall, Virginia)
Arcadia High School is a public high school in Oak Hall, Accomack County, Virginia, United States. It is one of three mainland high schools in the Accomack County Public Schools district. It serves students in the northern half of the county. The school mascot is the Firebird, which was chosen by the principal at the time, Mr Jack Gray. This mascot was relevant to the previous school that was there before, which was named the Cardinals. The school was previously named Atlantic High School, most of the previous campus was destroyed by a fire in 1975. Classes were still held in the undamaged portion of the school after the fire. The current Arcadia High School campus was opened in September 1978. Nowadays, the back hall, auditorium, café, and art room area are all parts of the old Atlantic High School. Onley (, "only") is a town in Accomack County, Virginia, United States. The population was 516 at the 2010 census. History The community was named after Onley, the estate of Governor Henry A. Wise. Geography Onley is located at (37.690352, −75.716759). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which is land and , or 0.98%, is water. It lies at an elevation of 43 feet. Demographics At the 2000 census there were 496 people, 223 households, and 144 families living in the town. Nandua High School is a public high school in Accomack County, Virginia. It is one of three high schools in Accomack County Public Schools. It was created in 1984, with the merger of Onancock and Central high schools. The school is named after a Native American princess of the Powhatan Tribe in the 17th century. Chincoteague, Virginia
Chincoteague ( or ) is a town in Accomack County, Virginia, U.S. The town includes the whole of Chincoteague Island and an area of adjacent water. The population was 2,941 at the 2010 census. The town is known for the Chincoteague Ponies, although these are not actually on the island of Chincoteague but on nearby Assateague Island. These ponies and the annual Pony Penning Day are the subject of Marguerite Henry's 1947 children's book ''Misty of Chincoteague'', which was made into the 1961 family film ''Misty'', filmed on location.
