Bloomfield, Indiana
Bloomfield is a town within Richland Township and the county seat of Greene County, Indiana, United States. The population was 2,405 at the 2010 census. Bloomfield is part of the Bloomington, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The area where Bloomfield is located has been inhabited by Native Americans since prehistory. Tribes that have lived in the area include the Miami tribe, Kickapoo, Piankeshaw and Wea. A settlement of Woodland period people has been excavated by Indiana Ball State Universities research teams near the confluence of Richland Creek and the White River south of Bloomfield. The town of Bloomfield was laid out in 1824 when Greene County needed a new county seat due to the lack of a reliable water source for the town of Burlington. Solsberry is an unincorporated area, unincorporated community in Beech Creek Township, Greene County, Indiana. History According to one source, Solsberry is likely a corruption of Salisbury, a city in England. The Solsberry post office was established in 1851. Florida Atlantic Owls Men's Basketball
The Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represents Florida Atlantic University and competes in Conference USA of NCAA Division I college basketball. Their home games are played on the Abessinio Court in the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena on the school's Boca Raton, Florida campus. Their head coach is Dusty May, who was hired on March 22, 2018. The Owls have appeared in the NCAA tournament twice, in 2002 while a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference and 2023. The Owls joined Conference USA (C-USA) in 2013 as part of the early-2010s NCAA conference realignment. Owensburg is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Jackson Township, Greene County, Indiana, United States. It was named in honor of the Owens family of early settlers.
