East Perth railway station is located on the Midland line and Airport line in Perth, Western Australia. It is operated by Transperth serving the suburb of East Perth. It is adjacent to the East Perth Terminal and Public Transport Centre. History The site occupied by East Perth station, East Perth Terminal and the Public Transport Centre was formerly the East Perth Locomotive Depot. The station took the name of the previous East Perth station, which was renamed Claisebrook. The former East Perth railway station was removed on the change of the railway system in the late 1960s. The original East Perth railway station opened in 1883, and in the early 20th century was found the name East Perth Junction (the junction being the line that proceeded to Armadale and joined the Eastern Railway close to the station). The Public Transport Centre (formerly known as the Westrail Centre) is a terminal and administration building for public transport in Perth, Western Australia. It is the centerpiece of East Perth Terminal (formerly known as Perth Terminal), a standard gauge railway station and coach terminal adjacent to East Perth station on the Transperth narrow gauge suburban rail network. Armadale Station is a railway station on the South Western Railway, 30 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Armadale, Brookdale and Haynes. It is the terminating point for Transperth Armadale line services and a calling point for Transwa ''Australind'' services. History The original station opened on 2 May 1893 when the South Western Railway opened from Claisebrook to Pinjarra. Albany railway station is a railway station in Albany, Western Australia. History and overview It was constructed in 1888 by the Great Southern Land Company. It was a passenger railway station on the Western Australian Government Railways services, from 1961 until the end of the running of the '' Albany Progress'' in 1978. Joondalup railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, 26 kilometres from Perth station serving the regional metropolitan city of Joondalup. History Joondalup station opened on 20 December 1992 as the interim terminus of the Joondalup line. The line was extended to Currambine a year later in 1993. In 2003, the contract for extending the platforms on seven Joondalup line stations, including Joondalup station, was awarded to Lakis Constructions. The platforms on these stations had to be extended by to accommodate long six car trains, which were planned to enter service. Along with the extensions, the platform edges were upgraded to bring them into line with tactile paving standards. Work on this station was done in mid-2004. Geraldton Railway Station
Geraldton railway station was located on the Kwinana-Geraldton and Northampton lines in Western Australia. It served the city of Geraldton. History On 26 July 1879, the original Geraldton station opened as part of the Northampton line. It was the first government railway station in Western Australia. With the discovery of gold in the Murchison River, a new station was built off Durlacher Street. On 8 August 1900, it became the Geraldton Mechanic's Institute Library, with a second storey added in 1908. In 1975, the library was shifted to a new location and in 1979 the building was handed over to the WA Museum. When the WA Museum relocated to its new premises in 2000, the old station building lay vacant until restored in 2014 as the City of Greater Geraldton Visitor Centre. In 1911, a third station opened, with the second relocated to become the District Engineers Office.

Merredin Railway Station
Merredin railway station is located on the Eastern Goldfields Railway in Western Australia. It is in the town of Merredin. History The original Merredin station opened in 1895. It was an important station on the Eastern Goldfields Railway, being the junction station for a number of lines to locations in the Wheatbelt and Goldfields regions. The main eastern railway connected with Northam to the west, and to Southern Cross to the east. The narrow gauge lines that connected with Merredin were: * from the western end of the station, Bruce Rock to the south (for a line to Narrogin) * from the north of the station area, Nungarin (to Wyalkatchem) to the north * from the east of the station area, Kondinin to the south (for a line to Narrogin) When the main eastern railway line was converted to standard gauge in the late 1960s, a new station was built diagonally opposite. Kalgoorlie railway station is the most eastern attended station in Western Australia, located at the eastern terminus of the Eastern Goldfields Railway. It serves the city of Kalgoorlie.
