International relations (IR), sometimes referred to as international studies and international affairs, is the scientific study of interactions between sovereign states. The Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) is a commercial citation index product of Clarivate Analytics. It was originally developed by the Institute for Scientific Information from the Science Citation Index. Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004.
