East Coast Railway Stadium
East Coast Railway Stadium is a cricket stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It hosts Ranji Trophy, and other matches. History The present stadium was built across an area of over 22 acres at a cost of Rs 6 crore. The stadium has four turfs for practice. The drainage system is one of the best in the state. The stadium hosted its first Ranji Trophy match in November 2008. A few Twenty20 matches during the first edition of the Odisha Premier League were also hosted at this venue. A huge manual scoreboard has been put up for the first time for Odisha versus Karnataka Ranji Trophy match. In 2010, Bhubaneswar Stadium was put to use during the Orissa-Punjab Elite Group B Ranji Trophy tournament league match was played. Bhubaneswar (; ) is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Odisha. Odisha Cricket Team
The Odisha cricket team (known as Orissa until 2011) is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Odisha. It is in the elite group of the Ranji Trophy. Its main home ground is Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Home matches are also played at DRIEMS Ground in Cuttack, East Coast Railway Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Veer Surendra Sai Stadium in Sambalpur, KIIT Cricket Stadium in Bhubaneswar and other grounds. The Ranji Trophy (also known as Mastercard Ranji Trophy for sponsorship reasons) is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations. East Coast Railway
The East Coast Railway (abbreviated ECoR) is one of the 19 railway zones of Indian Railways. It came into existence on 1 April 2003. The headquarters of the zone are at Bhubaneswar, Odisha History Consequent upon the parliament's approval, East Coast Railway was the first of the seven new zones to be inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India H. D. Deve Gowda on 8 August 1996. The Officer-on-Special Duty took over charge of the newly declared Zone on 16 September 1996. Michael Gwyl Bevan (born 8 May 1970) is a former Australian cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a slow left arm wrist-spin bowler.
