Matthew Ryan (musician)
Matthew Ryan (born November 7, 1971) is an American musician, singer and songwriter, born in Chester, Pennsylvania and inspired by such artists as U2, The Replacements, and Leonard Cohen. He logged several years in a series of bands before signing with A&M Records as a solo artist in 1996. '' No Depression'' magazine has described him as "Equal parts Springsteen, Westerberg and Ryan Adams, Ryan is a powerhouse of a storyteller for almost two decades. A forefather of the Alt-country scene, Ryan has yet to receive as much commercial success as some of his contemporaries." Johnette Napolitano (born Jonette L. Napolitano; September 22, 1957) is an American singer, songwriter and bassist best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and bassist for the alternative rock group Concrete Blonde. Early life Johnette Napolitano was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, the eldest of five children in an Italian American family. Her parents recognized their daughter possessed musical talent when, as a child, she was able to play " Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on piano by ear. Her mother loved show tunes. David Ricketts (musician)
David Jeffrey Ricketts (born November 16, 1953) is an American musician and record producer. Ricketts scored hits in the mid-1980s with David Baerwald in their group David & David, notably the track " Welcome to the Boomtown" from their only album ''Boomtown''. His romantic relationship with singer Toni Childs formed the basis for her critically acclaimed debut album, ''Union'', which Ricketts co-wrote and produced. Union was nominated for several Grammy Awards. He collaborated with Sheryl Crow on her debut ''Tuesday Night Music Club'' and is credited on the songs "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Strong Enough". Guitarist and songwriter Robbie Robertson tapped Ricketts to collaborate on '' Storyville'', Robertson's second solo album. Pat Sansone
Patrick Anthony "Pat" Sansone (born June 21, 1969) is an American multi-instrumentalist in the rock bands Wilco and The Autumn Defense. Early bands Sansone was born in Meridian, Mississippi. Upon entering college at The University of Southern Mississippi, Sansone found two musical kindred souls in Will Martin and Eddie Bo McRaney and started Beagle Voyage, a power trio influenced by Minutemen, Hüsker Dü, The Who, and Rush. Sansone played guitar for Beagle Voyage and then Stretch Armstrong, a rock band influenced by Black Sabbath and the Butthole Surfers. Soon after, Sansone formed the band Birdy, which included fellow Mississippians Tray Batson, Ike Marr and Glen Graham, who went on to play drums for Blind Melon. William Adams Kimbrough (born May 1, 1964) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Nashville, Tennessee. Biography Kimbrough was born in Mobile, Alabama, and started his musical career as a founding member of Will & the Bushmen, a popular college band in the eighties that produced a handful of albums and singles and made it to MTV. He then went on to form the Bis-Quits with long-time friend Tommy Meyer. The Bis-quits produced an eponymous album which was released on John Prine’s Oh Boy Records label. Kathryn "Trina" Shoemaker is an American mixer, record producer and sound engineer responsible for producing/engineering and/or mixing records for bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Something for Kate, Nanci Griffith, Kristin Hersh, and many more. Early life and career Shoemaker was born in Joliet, Illinois, and attended Joliet Central High School. Christopher Todd Feinstein (May 26, 1967 – December 15, 2009) was an American bass guitarist, record producer, and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Feinstein's career began at the age of 15, recording and touring in bands (Shadow 15, The Questionnaires, Bedlam, Iodine), which led him to widen his studio skills where he became interested in production and recording artist development. In 1997, Feinstein moved to New York City to pursue his career in production. He became a partner in a production team based at the infamous TMF Studios in the East Village. Doug Lancio is a guitarist and record producer, based in Nashville, Tennessee. He has worked with a wide range of artists including John Hiatt, Nanci Griffith, Patty Griffin and Bob Dylan. Biography Questionnaires Lancio was a member of the 1980s group Questionnaires, along with Tom Littlefield (guitar, vocals), Chris Feinstein (bass), and Hunt Waugh (drums).
