East Africa Cup
The East Africa Cup (EAC) is one of two domestic cricket competitions launched by Cricket Kenya in the aftermath of the Kenya national cricket team's disastrous showing at the 2011 Cricket World Cup. It is a 50 over competition that features 6 franchises, 4 from Kenya and 2 from Uganda, that compete against each other home and away in a league before the two teams that come top in the league square off in a final. Its main objective is to improve the standard of the cricket played in Kenya, and spark a revival on the international stage once again. Tournament history The tournament was started in the wake of Kenya's disastrous 2011 Cricket World Cup campaign. Its main aim is to develop the standard of cricket both in Kenya and Uganda. Tanmay Mishra
Tanmay Mishra (born 22 December 1986 in Mumbai, India) is an Indian-born Kenyan former cricketer. A right-handed aggressive middle-order batsman, he made his One Day International debut for Kenya in 2006 against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo. Early life Born in Mumbai, he moved to Kenya in 1994, at the age of 8. Career In 2007, Tanmay enrolled himself in an Indian University, and this prevented him from making any appearances for the Kenyan national side for the next three years. Martin Suji
Martin Armon Suji (born 2 June 1971) is a former Kenyan cricketer who played One-Day Internationals for the Kenyan national side between 1996 and 2006. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler, his overall international career spanned from 1990 to 2006, and included matches at the 1996, 1999, and 2003 World Cups, as well as at the 1990, 1994, and 1997 ICC Trophies. Suji is the older brother of Tony Suji, who also had a long career for Kenya. The brothers played together at the 1999 and 2003 World Cups. Maurice Amollo Ouma (first name also spelt Morris) (born 8 November 1982) is a Kenyan cricketer and a former limited over captain. He is a right-handed batsman and also plays as a wicket-keeper.
