Sore Eros
Sore Eros is an American indie band started by Robert Robinson around the early 2000s in Connecticut. Branded as lo-fi, pop music with psychedelic elements. In 2007 Robinson began collaborating with a long lost friend, Adam Langellotti which soon became their first official release, Second Chants. Sore Eros is now an equally collective effort incorporating Jeff Morkeski on lead guitar and Matt Jugenheimer on drums. Sore Eros has been working on a new full-length album with Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs producing. This project has been in the works for several years. American Music Club was an American, San Francisco-based indie rock band, led by singer-songwriter Mark Eitzel. Formed in 1983, the band released seven albums before splitting up in 1995. They reformed in 2003 and released two further albums. Swans (band)
Swans is an American experimental rock band formed in 1982 by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Michael Gira. One of the few acts to emerge from the New York City-based no wave scene and stay intact into the next decade, Swans have become recognized for an ever-changing sound, exploring genres such as noise rock, post-punk, industrial music, industrial and post-rock. Initially, their music was known for its sonic brutality and misanthropic lyrics. Eric Theodore Erlandson (born January 9, 1963) is an American musician, guitarist, and writer, primarily known as founding member, songwriter and lead guitarist of alternative rock band Hole from 1989 to 2002. ''Letters to Kurt'' is a collection of poetry and essays by musician Eric Erlandson, published in April 2012 by Akashic Books. The book largely reads as a meditation on suicide idols, and as an elegy to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, whom Erlandson was acquainted with through Courtney Love; Erlandson served as a founding member and lead guitarist of Love's band, Hole, for eleven years. Release ''Letters to Kurt'' was announced for release in December 2011 on Erlandson's Facebook profile. The book was released on April 10, 2012 and published by Akashic Books. TRS-80 (group)
TRS-80 is an electronic music group formed in Chicago in 1997 and led by founding member, Jay Rajeck. Biography TRS-80 was started by Kent Rayhill and Jay Rajeck in their hometown of Chicago, with Deb Schimmel joining them early on. The trio shared a common desire to write and perform music with real drums and synthesizers. A music writing frenzy of over 50 songs took place at Rajeck's home studio. The band played their first live show in 1998, opening for Death In Vegas at Double Door in Chicago. The band was known for their incorporation of visuals projected in sync with their music during live performances. Taka Boom (born Yvonne Stevens; October 8, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American R&B and dance music singer, and is the younger sister of singer Chaka Khan and Mark Stevens of Aurra. Supreme Dicks is an experimental rock group formed in 1984 by Jon Shere and Stuart Morris while students at Hampshire College. The primary band members are Jon Shere, Daniel Oxenberg, Mark Hansen, Steve Shavel, and often Jim Spring. Other members at various times have included Holly Cat, Dan Kapelovitz, Jennifer Stefanisko, John Galvin III, and Dave Taub. Musicians who have joined them onstage include Beck and Ariel Pink.
