''Early Spring'' ( da, Barndommens gade) is a 1986 Danish drama film directed by Astrid Henning-Jensen. It was entered into the 15th Moscow International Film Festival. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Tove Ditlevsen. Astrid Henning-Jensen
Astrid Henning-Jensen (born Astrid Smahl; 10 December 1914 – 5 January 2002) was a Danish film director, actress, editor and screenwriter. Early life Henning-Jensen was born in the Copenhagen district of Frederiksberg in 1914, to parents Ferdinand Smahl and Ruth Hanner. She graduated from secondary school (''realskole'') and began working as an actress in the theatre. She acted from 1935 to 1938 in theatres such as ''Alléscenen'' and ''Riddersalen'' in Copenhagen. On 10 August 1938, she married Danish film director Bjarne Henning-Jensen. Career Her marriage to Bjarne Henning-Jensen was of great importance to her career. She began working as his assistant in 1941 at Nordisk Film. The duo worked together on a number of films as co-directors, co-writers as well as assisting one another on individual projects. John Hahn-Petersen
John Hahn-Petersen (4 November 1930 in Frederiksberg – 4 January 2006) was a Danish theatre, TV and movie actor. He made his debut in 1955 and starred in a number of productions, including ''Matador'', ''Landsbyen'', and ''Taxa''. In 2006 he had one of the leading roles in Henri Nathansen's '' Indenfor Murene'' at Det Kongelige Teater, Denmark. He died at the age of 75 of a heart attack, shortly before he was to appear on stage. Following his death ''Indenfor Murene'' was cancelled. Tove Irma Margit Ditlevsen (14 December 1917 – 7 March 1976) was a Danish poet and author. With published works in a variety of genres, she was one of Denmark's best-known authors by the time of her death. Life Tove Ditlevsen was born in Copenhagen and grew up in the working-class neighbourhood of Vesterbro. Her childhood experiences were the focal points of her work. Ditlevsen was married (and divorced) four times. In her life, Ditlevsen published 29 books including short stories, novels, poetry, and memoirs.
