Astrid Henning-Jensen
Astrid Henning-Jensen (born Astrid Smahl; 10 December 1914 – 5 January 2002) was a Danish film director, actress, editor and screenwriter. Early life Henning-Jensen was born in the Copenhagen district of Frederiksberg in 1914, to parents Ferdinand Smahl and Ruth Hanner. She graduated from secondary school (''realskole'') and began working as an actress in the theatre. She acted from 1935 to 1938 in theatres such as ''Alléscenen'' and ''Riddersalen'' in Copenhagen. On 10 August 1938, she married Danish film director Bjarne Henning-Jensen. Career Her marriage to Bjarne Henning-Jensen was of great importance to her career. Frederiksberg () is a part of the Capital Region of Denmark. It is formally an independent municipality, Frederiksberg Municipality, separate from Copenhagen Municipality, but both are a part of the City of Copenhagen. It occupies an area of less than 9 km2 and had a population of 103,192 in 2015. Frederiksberg is an enclave surrounded by Copenhagen Municipality. Knut Hamsun (4 August 1859 – 19 February 1952) was a Norwegian writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1920. Hamsun's work spans more than 70 years and shows variation with regard to consciousness, subject, perspective and environment. Sara Cecilia Görvell Fabricius (20 December 1880 – 3 April 1974), better known by her pen name Cora Sandel, was a Norwegian writer and painter who lived most of her adult life abroad. Her best-known works are the novels now known as the ''Alberta Trilogy''. Biography Sara Cecilia Görvell Fabricius was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. Her parents were Jens Schow Fabricius (1839–1910) and Anna Margareta Greger (1858–1903). When she was 12 years old, her family moved to Tromsø, where her father was appointed a naval commander. Arthur Omre
Arthur Omre (17 December 1887, in Brunlanes – 16 August 1967) was a Norwegian novelist and writer of short stories. Omre hailed from Vestfold. With a background as sailor, journalist, constructor in the United States, engineer in Oslo, businessman and entrepreneur, he went bankrupt in 1922. From then on he initiated a criminal career, and made a living from liquor smuggling, swindle and theft, also spending long periods in prison. Following release from jail in 1935, Omre made his literary début with the novel ''Smuglere'' (Smugglers). The story is largely based on his own experiences, and is written in hardboiled style.
