Rajko Grlić (born 2 September 1947) is a Croatian film director, producer and screenwriter. He is a professor of film theory at Ohio University and artistic director of the Motovun Film Festival in Motovun, Croatia. Biography Rajko Grlić was born in 1947 in Zagreb, SR Croatia, FPR Yugoslavia. His father was Danko Grlić, famous Croatian philosopher. Grlić's (Gerlich) family by father's side came to Zagreb from Schwarzwald, Germany in the 19th century, while his mother Eva ( née Izrael) is from Jewish family of Sarajevo. He graduated from the Film Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) at the same time as Emir Kusturica, Serbian film director. During Croatian War of Independence Grlić moved to the USA. In 2017, Grlić has signed the Declaration on the Common Language of the Croats, Serbs, Bosniaks and Montenegrins. Relja Bašić (14 February 1930 – 7 April 2017) was a Croatian actor. With a career that lasted more than half a century, he is considered one of the most prolific performers of that country. Biography Bašić was born on 14 February 1930 in Zagreb, at the time of Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He was born to a Jewish mother Elly (née Lerch) Bašić. Bašić was raised by his mother and stepfather Mladen Bašić. He first appeared on screen in 1954 classic film ''Koncert''. Through the decades, he played many different roles in many different films, often in international co-productions. He never became a star, but remained one of the most recognisable and dependable character actors. His specialty were the roles of suave aristocratic villains, especially in historic films dealing with World War II, but his best remembered role is Mr. Fulir in 1970 cult musical comedy ''Tko pjeva zlo ne misli''. Goran Trbuljak
Goran Trbuljak (born 21 April 1948 in Varaždin) is a Croatian cinematographer, photographer and conceptual artist. Trbuljak had first studied at the graphic arts department of the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated from in 1972. After spending two years of apprenticeship at the ''École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts'' in Paris, he returned to Croatia and enrolled at the Zagreb Academy of Drama Arts and studied cinematography until he graduated in 1980. His filmmaking career started in 1980 with Ante Babaja's film ''Lost Homeland'' (''Izgubljeni zavičaj''), after which he went on to shoot some 25 feature films, as well as a number of television films and series. Trbuljak worked with many prominent Croatian directors, such as Branko Schmidt, Zvonimir Berković, Krsto Papić, Zoran Tadić, Davor Žmegač, and others.
