Earlimart is an American indie rock band formed in 1998 in Los Angeles, California, United States, and named after the town of Earlimart, California. The main members are Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray. Their early sound has been described as "post-punk", and compared to that of Pixies, Sonic Youth and Sparklehorse; later music has been compared to that of Grandaddy and Elliott Smith. In 2009, Espinoza and Murray joined with Jason Lytle and Aaron Burtch, formerly of Grandaddy, to record an album entitled ''I Heart California'', which was released in 2010 under the name Admiral Radley. Jason Lytle
Jason Lytle ( ; born March 26, 1969) is an American musician best known for his work in the indie rock group Grandaddy. The group split in 2005, and Lytle continued to release music as a solo artist and in collaboration with other musicians. Grandaddy reformed in 2012 and stopped recording and touring again in 2017 following the death of one of the members. Biography Early life and Grandaddy Lytle was born in Modesto, California and has an older sister, one older brother, a sister (deceased) and a stepsister. His father was in the grocery business, and his mother a housewife; they divorced when Lytle was aged seven. A fan of music at an early age, he played drums as a child. ''Humboldt County'' is a 2008 comedy drama film by Darren Grodsky and Danny Jacobs. ''Hymn and Her'' is the sixth album by the American indie rock band Earlimart (band), Earlimart. It was announced in March by Aaron Espinoza and was released in the US on July 1, 2008 via Major Domo Records and Shout! Factory, and a day later in Japan, via Youth Records. ''Hymn and Her'' marks where Earlimart now consists of just the duo of Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray, and also is the duo's second album in under a year, following on from August 2007's ''Mentor Tormentor''. Andrew Lynch (born in Soldotna, Alaska) is a singer-songwriter, trumpeter, keyboard player, audio engineer, and music producer, who lives in Los Angeles, California. In 2004, he released his debut album ''Samaritopia'' with the help of Pat Boone and Bill Hudson. The album features Sebastian Steinberg and The Section Quartet, who he occasionally performs with at Largo. He is a former band member of Los Angeles indie rock band The Black Pine. In the fall of 2007, Lynch toured with Earlimart in support of their record Mentor Tormentor, playing keyboards and trumpet. Derek Brown (born July 18, 1983) is an American saxophonist based out of Chicago, IL. Brown is best known for his particular style of playing, dubbed "BEATBoX SAX," which combines various extended techniques, percussive effects (e.g. stomping and beating his saxophone), and at times vocal elements. He is currently performing a tour involving visiting every US state within 12 months. Brown has released two solo albums, ''BEATBoX SAX'' (2016) and ''FiftyFifty'' (2018). Scott McPherson
Scott McPherson (October 13, 1959 Columbus, Ohio – November 7, 1992 Chicago) was an American playwright. Life He graduated from Ohio University. In 1981, he moved to Chicago, where he acted in ''The House of Blue Leaves'' and "The Normal Heart," where he met actor and Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright Steven Drukman with whom he lived for three years. He joined the play writing group Chicago New Plays. His partner at the time of his death was activist and cartoonist Daniel Sotomayor. He died of complications from AIDS on November 7, 1992, aged 33.
