Earl Tyree
Earl Carlton "Ty" Tyree (March 4, 1890 – May 17, 1954) was a Major League Baseball player. Tyree played for Chicago Cubs in the 1914 season. He only played in one game in his one-year career, having no hits in four at-bats. Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. In baseball, an at bat (AB) or time at bat is a batter's turn batting against a pitcher. An at bat is different from a plate appearance. In baseball statistics, a hit (denoted by H), also called a base hit, is credited to a batter when the batter safely reaches or passes first base after hitting the ball into fair territory with neither the benefit of an error nor a fielder's choice. Scoring a hit To achieve a hit, the batter must reach first base before any fielder can either tag him with the ball, throw to another player protecting the base before the batter reaches it, or tag first base while carrying the ball.
