East To West
East to West was a Contemporary Christian music duo from Cleveland, Tennessee, formed in 1993. Background Neal Coomer and Jay DeMarcus met in Cleveland, Tennessee, at Lee College (now Lee University) and decided to form a Christian pop group along the lines of Level 42 or Go West. They released two albums, ''East to West'' in 1993 and ''North of the Sky'', in 1995, which hit No. 16 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart that same year. The group toured in the United States with Al Denson and 4Him before breaking up in 1997. DeMarcus later became a member of the group Rascal Flatts. Eastern Trombone Workshop
The Eastern Trombone Workshop (ETW) has become one of the largest annual events for trombone in the world. The workshop's mission is to give students, performers, and educators an opportunity to meet and share ideas, talents, and opinions about the world of trombone. ETW regularly hosts participants throughout the nation and abroad. The workshop is held at Brucker Hall—The United States Army Band, U.S. Army Band's state-of-the-art performance center—located on historic Fort Myer, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. ETW is the only professionally organized and staffed trombone workshop or conference in the United States. Soloists, educators, and students, as well as university and college trombone ensembles from around the world, attend the workshop annually. The workshop hosts a number of solo and ensemble competitions for performers of all ages. End Time Warriors
End Time Warriors (also known as E.T.W.) were founded by MC Free, MC L King and Johnnie Jam. E.T.W. was one of the first successful Christian rap groups releasing their first album in 1989 on ForeFront Records. Much like fellow rookie label mates DC Talk, they featured fun, upbeat, and direct rhymes about their faith and the gospel. E.T.W's lyrics grew darker through their career and drinking, drugs, and violence became major themes in their music as they addressed problems in hip-hop culture. One of their biggest hits was their cover of Al Green's " Let's Stay Together", and their song "Give It Up" was nominated for a Dove Award. They broke up in the mid-1990s.
