History The merger of Etoile Sportive Paulhanaise and AS Pézenas Tourbes to form Etoile Sportive Paulhan-Pézenas was announced on 6 June 2012. Former chairman of AS Pézenas Tourbes, Stéphane Mouton, took control of the new club, with Pascal Dagany appointed coach. The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in France and Monaco, and includes one Spanish side. The competition is contested by 112 clubs split geographically across 8 groups of 14 teams each.
