Employees' State Insurance
Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is one of the two main statute, statutory social security bodies under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment (India), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, the other being the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation. The fund is managed by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) according to rules and regulations stipulated in the ESI Act 1948. Administratively, the organisation is divided into zones that are headed by Zonal Medical Commissioner and Zonal Insurance Commissioner. At present, there are Five Zones across India. The states have one Regional Offices (RO) which is generally headed by an additional commissioner or Director Rank officer; the Regional Offices are sub-divided into Sub-Regional offices (SRO) consisting several districts, SROs are headed by Director or Joint Director Rank officers. The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), formerly the Esports Integrity Coalition, is a non-profit members' association established in 2016 to promote and facilitate competitive integrity in esports. Notable for investigating the coaching bug scandal in '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'', the organization has received criticisms for a lack of resources and game knowledge. History The organization was founded by Ian Smith as the "Esports Integrity Coalition" in 2016 before rebranding in 2019. Smith had been an attorney working in sports regulation law before he was brought into the ''Global Offensive'' scene to investigate skin gambling. His recognition of the lack of regulatory bodies in the scene led to the founding of ESIC. An early stage innovation company is a concept created on 1 July 2016 in Australia originally proposed by Wyatt Roy's Policy Hackathon run by BlueChilli in 2015. An ESIC is able to attract early-stage investment capital from investors who are able to attract various taxation incentives, thereby enhancing the attractiveness of an ESIC to investors.
