The Empresa Gerencial de Projetos Navais (EMGEPRON), or "Company for Naval Projects", is a Brazilian state-owned company linked to the Ministry of Defence of Brazil through the Command of the Navy. In addition to project management, the company commercializes Brazilian naval defense products and services. The Empresa Gerencial de Projetos Navais employs about 2,000 people. it was established in 1982 and its facilities are on Ilha das Cobras, Rio de Janeiro. Mission EMGEPRON operates across the full spectrum of technology projects developed by the Brazilian Navy. Their mission is research, construction and modernization of military ships. They also manufacture artillery ammunition, and provide oceanographic services, logistics support and scientific training. Brazilian Corvette Barroso (V34)
Cv ''Barroso'' (V-34) is a corvette of the Brazilian Navy, and the lead ship of its sub class. The fifth Brazilian warship to be named after Admiral Francisco Manoel Barroso da Silva, ''Barroso'' was launched on 20 December 2002 and commissioned on 19 August 2008. Brazilian Submarine Tikuna (S34)
S Tikuna (S-34) is a Type 209 submarine of the Brazilian Navy. Built in the Brazilian Navy Yard in Rio de Janeiro (AMRJ), it was launched in March 2005 and incorporated into the Brazilian Navy on July 21, 2006, and then transferred to the Naval Operations Command. The Type 209 is a class of diesel-electric attack submarine developed exclusively for export by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft of Germany. The original variant (Type 209/1100) was designed in the late 1960s. The class is exclusively designed for export market.
