Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. Cristina Neagu
Cristina Georgiana Neagu (; born 26 August 1988) is a Romanian professional handballer who plays as a left back for CSM București and the Romanian national team. Often considered the best player in the world and rated by many in the sport as the greatest of all time, Neagu is the only female handball player in history to win four IHF World Player of the Year awards (in 2010, 2015, 2016 and 2018). She also won the EHF Player of the Year award in 2017 and 2018 (a record). She has been selected to the All-EHF Champions League All-Star Team seven times (2015–18 and 2020–22). Petar Nenadić
Petar Nenadić (born 28 June 1986) is a Serbian handball player who plays for Paris Saint-Germain and the Serbian national team. His brother Draško also played handball for national team. Club career RK Crvena zvezda Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Nenadić began playing handball in local team RK Crvena Zvezda's youth setup. He moved up to the senior team in 2003, aged only 17. Eduarda Idalina "Duda" Amorim Taleska (born 23 September 1986) is a Brazilian handball player for CSM București. She was voted World Handball Player of the Year 2014 by the International Handball Federation. In an election made by the website Handball Planet, one of the most important in the Duda modality was elected as the best player in the world of the decade (2011/2020). In this same vote, through the popular vote, Duda was considered the best defender of the last ten years. She is widely regarded as one of the best handball players of all time. The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. History EHF was founded on 17 November 1991 in Berlin, Germany, although the first EHF Congress convened on 5 June 1992 and assigned EHF's headquarters to Vienna, Austria from 1 September that year. EHF Players Of The Month
EHF Players of the Month are monthly handball awards which recognises the best male and female players from European Handball Federation competitions. The recipients are chosen by a panel of journalists assembled by the EHF Media department, and are announced on the first Thursday of the following month. The awards were launched in January 2016 and are given on a monthly basis, except for of July and August when the months are combined to allow both male and female younger age category competitions to take place. Any player who has taken part in an EHF competition, including the EHF Champions League, EHF Cup, EHF Challenge Cup, EHF EURO, European Beach Handball Championship (other) and all European Younger Age Category events, is eligible to be nominated for the award. RTL (previously known as RTL Televizija) is a Croatian free-to-air television network founded on 30 April 2004. It was owned by the RTL Group from 2004 to 2022. Casper U. Mortensen (born 14 December 1989) is a Danish handball player for HSV Hamburg and the Danish national team. He is the younger brother of Danish football player Andreas Ulrich Mortensen.
