Timothy Adrian Rogers (born 20 September 1969), known professionally as Tim Rogers, is an Australian musician, actor and writer, best known as the frontman of Australian rock band You Am I. He has also recorded solo albums with backing bands. As of July 2013, Rogers has released 12 albums with You Am I and five solo albums. Early life Born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, Rogers moved between towns multiple times during his adolescence, including Adelaide and Canberra. Following his primary school years in Applecross, a suburb of Perth, Rogers later became school captain at Sydney school Oakhill College. Rogers studied law at the Australian National University in Canberra, aged 18, though did not complete a degree. Bliss n Eso (formerly known as Bliss n' Esoterikizm) are an Australian hip hop trio based in Sydney. They are currently signed to Melbourne record label Illusive Sounds, and are managed and booked by label co-founders Adam Jankie and Matt Gudinski. Little Red were an Australian pop and rock band formed in 2005 by Adrian Beltrame on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Dominic Byrne on guitar and vocals, Quang Dinh on bass guitar and vocals, Tom Hartney on harmonica, keyboard and vocals, and Taka Honda on drums. They issued two albums, '' Listen to Little Red'' (28 June 2008) and '' Midnight Remember'' (September 2010). The second album peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It provided their highest-charting single, " Rock It" (June 2010), which reached the top 20 on the ARIA Singles Chart. At the EG Awards of 2010, they won Best New Talent. ''Post Paradise'' is the debut album by Australian band The Holidays. In Australia, it was released on 24 September 2010, and in Japan in January 2011 on the Rallye Label. Among other accolades, The Holidays won the Australian Music Prize's Red Bull Award for Best Debut Album, as well as being shortlisted for the actual Australian Music Prize. Recorded at home and self-produced, with additional recording and production at BJB Studios, Post Paradise was mixed at Sing Sing Studios in Melbourne by Tony Espie and mastered by David Walker at Stepford Audio Melbourne. Recording began in September 2009, and was completed sporadically throughout most of 2010, finishing in June 2010. The Holidays are an Australian indie pop/soul band. Formed in Sydney in 2006, the band consists of Simon Jones, Will Magnus, Alex Kortt and Andrew Kerridge. Their debut album ''Post Paradise'' was nominated for an Australian Music Prize. Biography The Holidays formed in late 2006 and quickly established themselves in the Sydney music scene as an upbeat, energetic addition. Simon Jones and Will Magnus had attended high school together, previously playing in cover bands in their schools' band competition. The Drones (Australian Band)
The Drones were an Australian rock band, formed in Perth by mainstay lead vocalist and guitarist Gareth Liddiard in 1997. Fiona Kitschin, his domestic partner, joined on bass guitar and vocals in 2002. Other long-term members include Rui Pereira on bass guitar and then lead guitar; Mike Noga on drums, vocals, harmonica and percussion; and Dan Luscombe on lead guitar, vocals and keyboards. Brian Nankervis (born 1956) is an Australian writer, actor, radio host, television producer and comedian. Personal life Nankervis was born in Melbourne. He lives in St Kilda with documentary film makerSue Thomsonand their children, Claudia, Lola, Henry-Joe and Brian's favourite, Jerry. He is one of the co-creators of the music quiz show, RocKwiz and co-hosts The Friday Revue on ABC Radio. Career Prior to acting, Nankervis was a primary school teacher at Wesley College, Glen Waverley, and Kingswood College, Box Hill.
