The East Asian Football Federation (EAFF), founded on 28 May 2002, is an international governing body of association football in East Asia. EAFF E-1 Football Championship (women)
EAFF E-1 Football Championship is an international football competition in East Asia for national teams of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF). The competition between women's national teams is held alongside men's competition. History In 2005 there was also a combined points competition in 2005, where the results of the men's and women's teams were added together (not including qualifiers). In April 2012, the competition was renamed to the "EAFF East Asian Cup". In December 2015, the new competition name "EAFF East Asian Championship" was approved, but later changed to "EAFF E-1 Football Championship". Results Played in odd years. EAFF E-1 Football Championship
EAFF E-1 Football Championship, known as the East Asian Football Championship from 2003 to 2010, and the EAFF East Asian Cup for the 2013 and 2015 editions, is a men's international football competition in East Asia for member nations of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF). Before the EAFF was founded in 2002, the Dynasty Cup was held between the East Asian top four teams, and was regarded as the East Asian Championship. There is a separate competition for men (first held in 2003) and women (first held in 2005). The winner of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship qualifies for the AFF–EAFF Champions Trophy. The 2022 EAFF E-1 Football Championship was an association football tournament organized by the East Asian Football Federation. It was the 8th edition of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship, the football championship of East Asia. The finals were originally scheduled to be held in China, but it was announced on 19 April 2022 that Japan would host the finals. It was Japan's third time hosting the tournament. There were no preliminary rounds conducted. After North Korea withdrew from the competition, the remaining slot for the participating teams was awarded to Chinese Taipei based upon the FIFA rankings as of 31 March 2022. AFF–EAFF Champions Trophy
The AFF–EAFF Champions Trophy is a planned biennial football match organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) and the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF). It is contested by the reigning champions of the respective Asian international football competitions, the AFF Championship and the EAFF E-1 Football Championship. It takes place during the FIFA international match window. It was not yet contested, as the first two edtions were cancelled. Asian Football Confederation
The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in Oceania Football Confederation, OFC, joined AFC in 2006.
