BMW E9
The BMW E9 is a range of coupés produced from 1968 to 1975. Initially released as the 2800 CS model, the E9 was based on the BMW 2000 C / 2000 CS four-cylinder coupés, which were enlarged to fit the BMW M30 six-cylinder engine. The E9 bodywork was built by Karmann. As a racing car, the E9 was very successful in the European Touring Car Championship and the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft, especially the 3.0 CSL homologation model. The E9 range was replaced by the E24 6 Series. Predecessor The E9's predecessor are 2000 C and 2000 CS models, which were produced from 1965 to 1969 as part of the BMW New Class range. Models 2800 CS The first of the E9 coupés, the 2800 CS, replaced the 2000 C and 2000 CS in 1968. The lead designer was Wilhelm Hofmeister. The wheelbase and length were increased to allow the engine bay to be long enough to accommodate the new straight-six engine code-named M30, and the front of the car was restyled to resemble the E3 sedan. The ...

EMD E9
The E9 is a , A1A-A1A passenger train-hauling diesel locomotive built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division of La Grange, Illinois, between April 1954 and January 1964. 100 cab-equipped A units were produced and 44 cabless booster B units, all for service in the United States. The E9 was the tenth and last model of EMD E-unit and differed from the earlier E8 as built only by the newer engines and a different, flusher-fitting mounting for the headlight glass, the latter being the only visible difference. Since some E8s were fitted with this, it is not a reliable way to distinguish the two. The E9 has two , V12 model 567C engines, each engine driving one generator to power two traction motors. Engine and powertrain The E9 uses twin 12 cylinder 567C engines developing a total of at 800 rpm. Designed specifically for railroad locomotives, this Roots-blown, mechanically-aspirated 2-stroke 45-degree V-type, with an , bore by stroke, giving displacement per cylinder, remained i ...

E-9A Widget
The De Havilland Canada DHC-8, commonly known as the Dash 8, is a series of turboprop-powered regional airliners, introduced by de Havilland Canada (DHC) in 1984. DHC was later bought by Boeing in 1988, then by Bombardier in 1992; then by Longview Aviation Capital in 2019, reviving the De Havilland Canada brand. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100s, it was developed from the Dash 7 with improved cruise performance and lower operational costs, but without STOL performance. Three sizes were offered: initially the 37–40 seat -100 until 2005 and the more powerful -200 from 1995, the stretched 50–56 seats -300 from 1989, both until 2009, and the 68–90 seats -400 from 1999, still in production. The QSeries are post-1997 variants fitted with active noise control systems. Development Initial development In the 1970s, de Havilland Canada had invested heavily in its Dash 7 project, concentrating on STOL and short-field performance, the company's traditional ...

E9 (countries)
The E9 is a forum of nine countries, which was formed to achieve the goals of UNESCO's Education For All (EFA) initiative. The “E” stands for education and the “9” represents the following nine countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria and Pakistan, representing over half of the world's population and 70% of the world's illiterate adults. E-9 Initiative was launched in 1993 at the EFA Summit in New Delhi, India. E-9 Initiative has become a forum for the countries to discuss their experiences related to education, exchange best practices, and monitor EFA-related progress. The aim of the initiative is to accelerate the improvement and promotion of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 agenda by driving rapid change in education systems in three of the 2020 Global Education Meeting priorities: # Support to teachers; # Investment in skills; # Narrowing of the digital divide. E9 (Lie Algebra)
In mathematics, especially in Lie theory, E''n'' is the Kac–Moody algebra whose Dynkin diagram is a bifurcating graph with three branches of length 1, 2 and ''k'', with ''k'' = ''n'' − 4. In some older books and papers, ''E''2 and ''E''4 are used as names for ''G''2 and ''F''4. Finite-dimensional Lie algebras The E''n'' group is similar to the A''n'' group, except the nth node is connected to the 3rd node. So the Cartan matrix appears similar, -1 above and below the diagonal, except for the last row and column, have −1 in the third row and column. The determinant of the Cartan matrix for E''n'' is 9 − ''n''. *E3 is another name for the Lie algebra ''A''1''A''2 of dimension 11, with Cartan determinant 6. *:\left \begin 2 & -1 & 0 \\ -1 & 2 & 0 \\ 0 & 0 & 2 \end\right /math> *E4 is another name for the Lie algebra ''A''4 of dimension 24, with Cartan determinant 5. *:\left \begin 2 & -1 & 0 & 0 \\ -1 & 2 & -1& 0 \\ 0 & -1 & 2 & -1 \\ 0 & 0 & -1 & 2 ...

E9 Tuning
E9 tuning is a common tuning for steel guitar necks of more than six strings. It is the most common tuning for the neck located furthest from the player on a two-neck console steel guitar or pedal steel guitar while a C6 neck is the one closer to the player. The E9 is a popular tuning for single neck instruments of eight or more strings. This tuning has evolved in the last half of the twentieth century with input from prominent performers including Jimmy Day, Ralph Mooney and Buddy Emmons to support optimal chord and scale patterns across a single fret on the 10-string pedal steel guitar. Corresponding tunings for a six string lap steel guitar are the E6 tuning E–G–B–C–E–G, or E7 tuning B–D–E–G–B–E. A popular E9 tuning for eight string console steel guitar is the Western swing tuning E–G–B–D–F–G–B–E, low to high and near to far. The standard ''Nashville E9 tuning'' also called the E9 Chromatic Tuning for ten string pedal steel guitar is B–D ...
