E04 Expressway (Sri Lanka)
The Central Expressway (E04), is an under construction road project that will link the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, with Dambulla & Kandy. It will provide a fast alternative to the existing A1 highway (Sri Lanka), A1 Colombo - Kandy & A6 highway (Sri Lanka), A6 Ambepussa - Trincomalee Highways. The Expressway starts at the Kadawatha Interchange on the E02 expressway (Sri Lanka), E02 Outer Circular Expressway and ends in Dambulla at the A9 highway (Sri Lanka), A9 Kandy - Jaffna Highway, traversing through Gampaha District, Gampaha, Kurunegala District, Kurunegala & Matale District, Matale Districts. A link Expressway starting from Pothuhera & ending in Galagedara, Central Province, Galagedara will provide access to the Kandy District. Gampaha (Sinhala: ගම්පහ ; Tamil: கம்பஹா ) is an urban city in Gampaha District, Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is situated to the north-east of the capital Colombo. It is the sixth largest urban area in Western Province, after Colombo, Negombo, Kalutara, Panadura and Avissawella. Katugastota
Katugastota ( Sinhala: කටුගස්තොට, Tamil: கடுகஸ்தொட) is a suburb of the city of Kandy in Kandy District, Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is located along the Kandy-Jaffna A9 highway approximately from the city center of Kandy. Katugastota is one of the three main entry points to the city of kandy. Two major Highways ( A9 and A10) meet at the center of the city which makes Katugastota one of the busiest suburbs in Kandy district. Mirigama
Mirigama (also spelled Meerigama) ( si, මීරිගම; ta, மீரிகம) is a town in Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. It is located from Colombo, and from Negombo. Mirigama is the hometown of Sri Lanka's first Prime Minister, D. S. Senanayake and former speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka Karu Jayasuriya. Economy Mirigama is an economic hub in the region and is a popular shopping center. Kurunegala
Kurunegala ( si, කුරුණෑගල, ta, குருணாகல்) is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of the North Western Province and the Kurunegala District. Kurunegala was an ancient royal capital for 50 years, from the end of the 13th century to the start of the 14th century. It is at the junction of several main roads linking to other important parts of the country. It is about from Colombo, from Kandy and from Matale.
