E' De' Det Här Du Kallar Kärlek
Sweden was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986, held in Bergen, Norway. The Swedish national final, Melodifestivalen 1986, was held on 22 March at the Cirkus in Stockholm, and was broadcast across Sweden on SVT1. The winners were Lasse Holm and Monica Törnell with their song "E' de' det här du kallar kärlek?". Before Eurovision Qualifying competition Melodifestivalen 1986 was the contest for the 26th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. 90 songs had been submitted to SVT for the competition; 10 of these were performed at the contest, which was held at Cirkus in Stockholm on 22 March 1986. It was presented by Lennart Swahn and Tommy Engstrand and was broadcast on TV1. No orchestra was used, and instead the ten songs were broadcast as music videos. Lasse Holm
Lars-Eric Gustav "Lasse" Holm (born 9 December 1943) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and television host. Holm has also hosted and appeared in several television shows. As singer Since childhood, he was interested in music and was a member of a lot of pop music and rock music groups in the 1960s: ''Doug and the Millsmen'', ''The Spacemen'' and ''The Moonlighters''. "Dover–Calais" is a ballad song written by Tommy Ekman and Christer Sandelin, and originally performed by Style on 22 March 1986 at Melodifestivalen where the song ended up third. The song lyrics describe a love meeting between two people on board a ferryboat moving across the English Channel between the UK and France in a pre-" Chunnel" era. The song topped the Swedish singles chart, and peaked at 6th position in Norway. At Svensktoppen the song stayed for 18 weeks between the period of 13 April–29 June 1986, topping the chart during the seven first weeks. Kee Marcello (born Kjell Hilding Lövbom, 20 February 1960 in Ludvika, Sweden) is a Swedish guitarist/vocalist, best known as the former guitarist in the hard rock bands Europe and Easy Action. Per Håkan Gessle (; born 12 January 1959) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is best known as the male half and primary songwriter of the Swedish pop rock duo Roxette, which he formed with Marie Fredriksson in 1986 and which was disbanded after her death in 2019. The duo achieved international success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their albums '' Look Sharp!''
