E! Australia
E! is an Australian pay television channel, owned by NBCUniversal International Networks. Much like its American counterpart it features entertainment-related programming, reality television and Hollywood news. It is currently available through the Foxtel and FetchTV platforms in Australia and the Sky platform in New Zealand. It was also available on the Austar service prior to 2012. In 2014, it became available on Australian streaming service Foxtel Play. NBCUIN signed a content agreement with Seven West Media in the autumn of 2022, which includes the launch of a new terrestrial channel, 7Bravo on 15 January 2023, that will include E! content; with this, the previous content agreement with Foxtel will expire, and E! will be wound down on 31 January 2023. Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system.
