E'Twaun Moore
E'Twaun Donte Moore (born February 25, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 2011 NBA draft after playing college basketball at Purdue University. In high school, he led East Chicago's Central High School to an IHSAA state championship. He was a Second-Team All-Big Ten selection as both a freshman and a sophomore and a First-Team All-Big Ten selection as a junior and a senior for Purdue Boilermakers men's basketball. He was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, as well as a Second-Team Academic All-American selection at the conclusion of the 2009–10 Big Ten Conference regular season. Purdue Boilermakers Men's Basketball
The Purdue Boilermakers basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and is a member of the Big Ten Conference. Kawann Short
Kawann Arcell Short (born February 2, 1989) is an American football defensive tackle who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Purdue. Early years Short was born in East Chicago, Indiana. He went to Central High School in East Chicago. There, he was a two-sport athlete playing both football and basketball. He was a high school teammate of E'Twaun Moore during basketball season, and the two led the Cardinals to the Indiana class 4A state title in 2007. Ángel Luis García García (born July 11, 1988) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player. García began playing basketball in his native municipality, before moving to Lake Forest, Illinois, and playing one year for Lake Forest Academy, then transferring to East Chicago, Indiana, where he attended East Chicago Central High School. The Academic All-America program is a student-athlete recognition program. The program selects an honorary sports team composed of the most outstanding student-athletes of a specific season for positions in various sports—who in turn are given the honorific "Academic All-American". The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) is the arbiter of interscholastic competition among public and private high schools in the U.S. state of Indiana. It monitors a system that divides athletically-competing high schools in Indiana based on the school's enrollment. The divisions, known as classes, are intended to foster fair competition among schools of similar sizes. A school ranked 3A is larger than a school ranked 1A, but not as large as a 6A-ranked school.
