Dyna Music Entertainment Corporation is a Filipino record label. It is one of the major record companies in the Philippines; in the 1960s, it was the country's largest licensee of foreign labels. The first independent record label in the Philippines, Dyna Music was founded as Dyna Products Inc. by businessman James Go Dy in 1959. It is a member of the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI). Dyna Music also released karaoke, video karaoke Video CD, VCDs versions of the label's songs in the Philippines. It also became the first recording company in the country to produce and distribute a large catalogue of High-end audio, audiophile CD titles from the label's homegrown and foreign artists, using 24-bit, 192 kHz digitally remastered audio technology. Pinoy pop or P-pop (also known as Philippine pop or Pilipino pop) refers to a contemporary pop music in the Philippines originating from the OPM genre. Island Records
Island Records is a multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. It was founded in 1959 by Chris Blackwell, Graeme Goodall, and Leslie Kong in Jamaica, and was eventually sold to PolyGram in 1989. Armida Siguion-Reyna (born Armida Liwanag Ponce Enrile; November 4, 1930February 11, 2019) was a Filipina singer, film and stage actress, producer and television show host. AfterImage is a Filipino rock band formed in 1986, best known for their songs "Habang May Buhay", "Next in Line", and "Mangarap Ka". They disbanded in 1997 and became active again in 2008 after they reunited and released their fourth studio album. After disbanding in 1997, Wency Cornejo, the band's vocalist, pursued a solo career. In January 1992, the band signed with Dyna Records, The band's first album, entitled ''Touch the Sun'', was released in July 1992.
