Duygun Yarsuvat
Duygun Yarsuvat (18 August 1937 – 10 September 2021) was a Turkish lawyer and former chairman of Galatasaray. Biography Yarsuvat graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1957. He then studied law at Istanbul University and graduated in 1961. Death On 10 September 2021, Yarsuvat died in the hospital in Istanbul, where he was being treated for an illness. Galatasaray On 25 October 2014, Yarsuvat replaced Ünal Aysal to become the 35th president of Galatasaray, winning 1777 of the 3379 votes cast. Ünal Aysal (, born 2 June 1941) is a Turkish businessman. He was the chairman of Galatasaray S.K. Business career He graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1961. He then studied law at İstanbul University and later at University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. Aysal worked with Koç Holding in 1970-72 as the coordinator of the Ram Foreign Trade company and established the Unit International firm in 1974 in Brussels, Belgium. Aysal has been involved in the oil business and electric power industry, since 1984. He is currently the head of the Unit Group, which comprises 23 companies. He was honored in 1999 by the President of Turkey as the best representative of Turkish businesses abroad. As of 2011, his net worth is around $1 billion. Galatasaray S.K. Dursun Özbek
Dursun Aydın Özbek (born 25 March 1949) is a Turkish businessman and 36th and 39th club president of Turkish multi-disciplined sports club Galatasaray S.K. Career Özbek was a member of board of directors and vice-president during previous president Duygun Yarsuvat until 2014. Collecting the majority of voting cast with 2,800 votes, Dursun Özbek was elected as the 36th president of Galatasaray S.K. following the ordinary general assembly taking place on 23 May 2015. He was defeated by challenger Mustafa Cengiz in the election held on 20 January 2018. On 12 June 2022, Özbek was re-elected as the 39th President of the club, after a tight contention against the other candidate Eşref Hamamcıoğlu, prevailing with a narrow difference of 156 votes in total of 4,459 given.
