Dutch National Jamboree
The Dutch National Jamboree is a jamboree organized by Scouting Nederland for the Scouting age groups ''scouts'' (11–15 years old), and ''explorers'' (15–18 years old). It is organized every four years. Though it can be characterized as a national event, the Jamboree also welcomes foreign scouts. History In 1985, a 75-year Dutch Scouting jubilee Jamboree was organised. This was not yet named National Jamboree, but can be characterized as one. The first Dutch National Jamboree took place in 2000 and was located in Dronten. Parts of the event area were also used as the location for the World Jamboree 1995 as well as the European Jamboree 1994, though the event is much smaller than its global and European equivalents. The second and third edition took place on Landgoed Velder in Boxtel and hosted around 4,000 participants. The last edition was a special Dutch scouting centenary edition. History The 1st World Scout Jamboree was held in 1920, and was hosted by the United Kingdom. Since then, there have been twenty-three other World Scout Jamborees, hosted in various countries, generally every four years. The 25th World Jamboree is to be held in Korea in 2023. There are also national and continental jamborees held around the world with varying frequency. Many of these events will invite and attract Scouts from overseas. Zeewolde
Zeewolde () is a municipality and a town in the Flevoland province in the central Netherlands. It has a population of approximately 22,000 (2017). It is situated in the polder of Flevoland with the small lake called the Wolderwijd to the east. To the south is a large deciduous forest called the . Roermond
Roermond (; li, Remunj or ) is a city, municipality, and diocese in the Limburg province of the Netherlands. Roermond is a historically important town on the lower Roer on the east bank of the river Meuse. It received town rights in 1231. Roermond's town centre has become a designated conservation area. Liempde
Liempde is a village in the Netherlands in the municipality Boxtel. Annually the Flevo Christian music festival is held here. In 2005 the event What the Hack took place in Liempde. Walibi Holland
Walibi Holland (previously called Flevohof, Walibi Flevo, Six Flags Holland and Walibi World) is a theme park in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands. History The park was opened in 1971 as 'Flevohof'. It was an educational theme park themed after agriculture and farming. Having struggled to compete with more modern family attractions, Flevohof went bankrupt in 1993, and was subsequently purchased by the Walibi Group that autumn, who redeveloped the site as an amusement park. Apeldoorn
Apeldoorn (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland in the centre of the Netherlands. It is located about 60 km east of Utrecht, 60 km west of Enschede, 25 km north of Arnhem and 35 km south of Zwolle. Scouting Nederland is the national Scouting, Scout organisation of the Netherlands with approximately 110,000 members (53,324 male and 54,663 female, 87,000 youth members, as of 2010.
